Movies that should not have had a sequel: Batman Forever, Crow: City Of Angels because as bad that they were, you had to know, especially in the case of Batman, it's same cast and crew minus Clooney, Thurman, Arnold, Silverstone and the guy who played Bane.

Movies that should've had a sequel: I can think of many and I'll add them later. But here's a few for now:

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls and The Mask - I don't know if sequels to these movies were ever discussed. But they should have been made if Carrey was open to doing them.

E.T. - I know in the first one, ET was stuck on Earth and the point was to get him home, which they succeeded in the end. And that's great as he was in such bad shape, I cried for him more than once, seriously and not ashamed to admit it. I know a sequel was talked about or at least asked about and I feel it should have been done which would involve ET going back to Earth once he was all better to see Elliot and/or Elliot going to ET's ship and planet to see what it's like there. I've always wanted to know exactly where he lived, personally. If it was me, the sequel would have long been done by now.

Both Ace ventura and The mask had sequels.

globaly speaking, they were catastrophically awful.

ET had a sequel, but it was left as a book: " E.T.: The Book of the Green Planet". And I hope it stays as is. a good movie, unless thought another way, shouldn't need a sequel. I could have lived perfectly happy without T3. and T4. And a bunch of "Nightmare on elm street" or "Friday the 13th".

Ace & Mask....yes I know they had sequels. I actually meant to say, and I should have stated that above, that they should have been done right after Ace 2 and Mask. Perhaps then, Carrey would've been involved and the movies would've been better. Ace Jr and Sone Of Te Mask were done in an era where movies generally suck.

I didn't know ET had a sequel as a book. Steven would agree with your point regarding the movie. Can't say I disagree now that I know there's a book that serves as a sequel. Thanks for that info.
