Just wanted to know who people think is the easiest boss ever in any ff

probably my vote goes to Safer Sepiroth. I could beat him with my eyes shut, he didn't kill one of my characters and i didn't use ultima or knights of the round.
And his summons too long and annoying.
:p

Easiest boss ever?

Gi Nattak, Cosmo Canyon, Final Fantasy VII. Throw a Phoenix Down on it and see what happens. :)

Ditto for any undead boss monster in the Final Fantasy series since Final Fantasy IV actually.

Other examples :

Ghost Train, Final Fantasy VII

The seconde Evrae, underwater Bevelle, Final Fantasy X.

easiest boss is yu yevon, you can't die and all you got to do is stand there and let him kill himself

Yeah, any undead ones are fairly easy.
Another one is the Fake President's second form on the train in ff8, but you have to use 2 phoenix downs.
Yu Yevon, yes. Most of the bosses in ff10 are actually fairly easy :).
How about one that isn't undead or you can actually be killed by!

Gilgamesh in FFVI or the guy that says he's Gilgamesh in the ghost train. That guy sure can talk big, but has nothing to back it up. As for final boss I'll say Kefka. Terra with Quick and X-magic and Sabin with the offering and Gengi Glove, Kefka went down in two rounds.

Easiest boss while actually having to try? I would have to say the leader of Tantalus in 9.

Oh come on, isn't it obvious?

The last battle with Sephiroth. Isn't it an automatic win? :)

Strife-x

so is the battle with yu yevon, it just lasts longer

The Joker

I think that the battle with Cloud does automatic counter, though I had no counter materia equipped. You are forced to maintain being alive in the last battle with FFX, but it doesn't force an actual victory from what I remember.

I don't think that the final battle with Sephiroth should count and netiher should Yu Yevon or undead monsters. Another easy one would be ....oh crap I had one and now I don't remember. It was.....oh yeah! The Sinspawn in 10 at the beginning because all you have to do is attack.

The final boss of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest >=)

Okay, so that's not a game :P. And he technically doesn't count, as Cure 3 not only did damage to it (undead), it did like double damage. Doing 30k damage (or some number... I don't remember exacts) with a Cure 3 made it easy to take it down quickly (It did take 3 or 4 hits).

of course mystic quest counts

it's a final fantasy

and i was going to answer with some bs like chaos from ff1 on nes, but...he's a hard

Gi Nattak and the final Jenova oh and Safer Sephiroth is so easy, i beat him in less than 5 mins when he had wall casted...just hacked him with 4x-cut 2 times and it was thaat easy coz it was as eay as that! :lol yeah i am so kew...

_______
OMNISLASH!!! yea im so kew...

Yeah ummm.......another one would be Ruby Weapon and then Ozmos or whatever from Chocobo Sky Garden. Oh wait, different thread. In that case, Ifrit was very very easy on VIII.

All of the "first boss of the game" bosses are easy, because they are to help you understand the battle system. That goes with Ifrit on VIII too, ofcourse.

i would say Gogo from FF5 all you had to do was stand still and you beat him within a few minutes and he runs off screaming and lets you have the mimic job

i would also agree with Durendal because Gilgamesh on FF6 was to easy i dont know if he is classed as a boss though

I'd like to add.. like all the WoR bosses in FF6... they all seemed too easy...

Maybe it was my spamming of Bum Rush and any debuffs I could use... (ie Berserking Mage Master so all he does in melee, etc.)

As others have mentioned, the undead bosses were always really easy.

Seems like there were also some easy bosses in FFIX, as I didn't even get a game over in that game. I'm sure there's others, I just can't think of any specific ones at the moment.

The easiest boss for me is Braska's final aeon from FFX. His health is 60,000(first form), which I easily defeat him in one hit, since all my characters hit for 99,999. His second form is 120,000 hit points. so you just hit him twice and he is dead. If your weapons didn't have the break damage limit ability, the fight would be descently hard, but other than that, easiest boss ever...

Just to point out one thing : Unless that's how he's called in the original Japanese version, there is no Gilgamesh in FFVI. The one you are referring to is Siegfried. And unlike that encounter in the Ghost Train, he's quite harder to beat at the collosseum in the World of Ruin, especially since you don't get to control the fight.

You're right it was Sigfreid and on the ghost train and in the cave near south figaro he was easy to compared to in the collesium.

Let's see - ones where you actually had to kind of try? How about the second from of the BGF whatever-number-it-was that appears in Fisherman's Horizon in FFVIII? Talk about a busted-up, lame hunk-of-junk.

The earlier bosses in any game will obviously be easier. They're designed that way. Wouldn't it make more sense to make this topic stick to "final" or "near-final" bosses?

For me, I think that the final Sephiroth and JENOVA team were the easiest. This was probably due to the fact that I killed the Weapons beforehand.

Basically, using a combination of each character's ultimate weapon and slash-all and/or quadra-slash (or something like that), the boss was only able to attack once at most before it got killed. No need for KotR or anything of that sort. The Safer-Sephiroth was killed in one round of hits from each of my characters.

The final boss to Final Fantasy MQ comes to mind.... :O

Didn't I mention that, MK? :P

Ooh, I'd like to throw in all bosses in FFT. Calculator + Holy + Orlandu = pwnage. You can throw in Worker 8 too, if you want.

(Keep Orlandu with his holy-absorb item he started with, use Holy to hit as much as possible for free, generally will kill everything 'cept for Orlandu and the boss, and then its a simple victory)

Yu Yevon in Final Fantasy X. Its Really just a worthless few minutes of sitting there.

Jecht as the Final Summon was easy too and so was the Final Seymour Battle and Ultima and Omega weapon in FFX. All those "battles" were so simple.

Voila, we can spell!

And curse that word, too. It has haunted me ever since I mispronounced it "Viola!" in Advanced Drama in 8th grade :P

Oh, and on topic?

The first few FFV bosses were easy. The first one I just did Fight a few times and it died. Second one.. .have three of your guys as MNKs, and the other as a WHM. You can't lose. Third one took a little effort but was still just as easy for the 3 MNK party.
