Just got the DVD of Captain America from 1979 for Christmas. Remembered these movies as a kid, pure cheese but I love it anyways. Also did some searching and found that someone had put together a bootleg as there is no official release for the OST. Was wondering if anybody has the bootleg and can share or point me in the right direction for it.

Thanks in advance.

No, but I'd love to hear it.

A bootleg of the original score, as opposed to just the audio ripped from the DVD (which I'm sure we all have), would be amazing. Great soundtrack from Mike Post and Pete Carpenter. I'm new here, and having been searching thoroughly, but do any other mid 70s to early 80s rare tv soundtracks ever show up? Things like Sword of Justice, Supertrain, The Young Lawyers, The Rookies, Tenspeed and Brownshoe, Toma, The Lazarus Syndrome, etc just name a few of the hundreds of shows with amazing music from the time. Some of the soundtracks must have survived somewhere, I hope?

I have seen none of those you mentioned. Bionic Woman and Incredible Hulk have multiple albums, but sadly nothing for Six Million Dollar Man. Obviously the majority of score for the original series of Star Trek is released. Older Doctor Who exists. Airwolf exists. I have a score promo of the original 21 Jump Street. There is a score promo for the live action Spiderman series, and 2 albums of the music library used for the 60's Spiderman. There is an official album for The A-Team. There have been promos for Starsky and Hutch. There are two promos for The Dukes of Hazard. At least 4 official albums of score for the original Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers. 2 good albums for Space: 1999. Multiple albums for various Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and Tales From The Crypt. A 3 album anthology for Amazing Stories. 2 albums for CHiPS. Score promos for Days of POur Lives, Dawson's Creek and 30 Something. I have a score promo for Disney's Gargoyles and the tv show Fame. Dr. Kildare has a 3 album set, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman has a promo album, there is an official album for Hill Street Blues, an album (lp) for Inspector Gadget, multiple albums for the original Knight Rider (and a promo for the new one), 2 albums for LA Law, a promo for St. Elsewhere, several Lost In Space albums, several Miami Vice albums, an album for Nightmare Cafe, a promo for the original Thundercats, 3 albums for the original V, and many, many more. All of what I just mentioned is available in my tv mega thread...

Thanks for the exhaustive list, Amanda. It looks like I have pretty much everything that exists for the time period I'm interested in, then... Bionic Woman, Incredible Hulk, S&H, BSG, Buck Rogers, HSB, CHiPs, and also the slightly earlier, but great Police Story, Love American Style, Hawaii 5-0 and Mannix OSTs. And all the classic 70s game show scores that have been released, officially, or not. BTW, has anyone ever found out the status of the Wonder Woman (70s version) score?
I guess I'll have to be satisfied with these, plus the hundreds of studio versions of themes by the original artists (like the albums by Mike Post, Lalo Schiffrin, Barry Grey, Tony Hatch, Henry Mancini, et all) the hundreds of contemporary 1970s cover versions, and the original themes and cues ripped from existing episodes of broadcast versions. It's a lot, for sure (I've boiled it down to maybe 1500 "best of" favorite tracks in my 70s TV themes and scores collection), I just was checking if there was anything out there that I had been aware of. Thanks Again, Amanda!
