Is this genuine?

FYC "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" music score Alexandre Desplat | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FYC-Harry-Potter-and-the-Deathly-Hallows-Part-2-music-score-Alexandre-Desplat-/140899726612?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20ce473514)

If so, I'll get it and upload a lossless version here :-)

It's genuine. But the FYC promo was uploaded in the FYC website of Warner Bros, and it was just the score with no Hedwig's theme. But the CD has Voldy's Influence, which is a unused cue, availble in the sheets, so maybe the CD promo is different.

Yeah
Maybe the FYC is different,
Anyway I hope so!:)

Well I've put a bid on it now anyway. I've also gone for this as well as I like Danny Elfman's scores.

Voldy's Influence wasn't released and used in the movie. It plays before Panic Inside Hogwarts, Desplat doesn't use any of the established themes in the DH scores, but it has a dark motif performed by brass and choir (hope the choir is audible in the finished cue). Still, it would be interesting to hear this promo, maybe it has some differences between the CD and this one.

Well I've put a large bid in to get it, so once again, will post a lossless version for you all to check for yourselves.

Anyway, apart from eBay, are there any other sites where these sorts of things are sold? Many thanks.

It would definitively be interesting to hear this FYC Promo!
I hope that Neville & Battlefield isn't the same version as on the official CD!

mgm5215

It seems like it. Also, it should have the cue Neville Runs, which it's on the movie.

Yes,
and as well maybe Dragon Flight film version!

Another cues that seems to being missing are Triage, which is played before Severus And Lily. And Harry Is Dead, which is played before Procession. Both are used in the movie.

Yes
I am definitively looking forward to this!

Too bad the tracktimes aren't listed as well! Then we could confirm if their are additional cues or not. Usually FYCs are encouraged to have the film versions on them, but WB never really seems to bother with that, but for once it looks like we may have some extra tracks

Don't you guys realise that when you post an eBay link it draws attention and then the bid skyrockets? It's about the dumbest thing you can do. It WAS at $45 last night, and since the link has been posted it went up to $81. Smooth.

And yes, it's completely different from the OST. It has 24 tracks and different cue names

Erm that sort of occured to me after I posted it LOL! OK, I'm a dumbass 'Phantom of the Opera' nut with a radio-controlled Dalek, who would rather watch the 1969 musical remake of 'Goodbye Mr Chips' starring the wonderful Petula Clarke and Peter O'Toole over the 'Saw' films any day! I KNOW what I am...

Winning bid: $85.50. I hope one of you won it. Now had it STAYED at $45 and the link hadn't been posted, I would've won (hopefully) and posted it here. Who knows. There's a huge possibility the person who won is not a member here and wanted it just to have

Well it wasn't me and annoyingly, I never received any e-mails from eBay telling me I'd been outbid like I normally do. Oh well, lesson learned here. However, someone's posted a 'Skyfall' FYC promo (30 tracks including the Adele song), which I'm totally convinced is a fake. What's more, they want 125.00 for it, have posted no photos or track lengths either. I bet this has been done before a few times!

FANTASTIC. OUTSTANDING. Lesson learned indeed. For you, not I. I know better than to draw attention to something I'm bidding on.

EXCUSE ME?!?! I of all people know better than to download something without saying a simple "thank you". I hate it when I see one of my files downloaded 400 + times (Avatar comes to mind) and I don't get any thanks for a while. I even made a post about it some time last year, and then bishtyboshty went to every single one of my fucking threads and said "thanks" just to be an asshole. Even if I DON'T say thanks when downloading your files, you'll never know. No one can tell who is downloading what. I don't even know if you've downloaded something of mine and never said thanks. Check every single thread I've posted on. Go ahead. Go to my profile page and check my posts. Usually what I'll do is comment on the score or something along the lines of how much I like the film that score pertains to, or how I've always wanted said score, and then after that, you'll see a "thank you". And if not, sue me. I TRY to say thanks right before I download something. I know what it takes to upload something and share it. I could be doing something else, but I pack an archive, upload it, make a thread, and wait for people to view and and express their thanks. It's a good feeling, giving to others. So don't you DARE tell me I download something of yours and not say thanks. You've got much to learn, young one.

1.) Here's my post in your instrumental thread you decided to pull the plug on:

http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/disney-movie-original-song-instrumentals-1991-1996-a-122021/2.html#post2206208 did I say thanks there? NOPE, because the links were pulled because someone was being a bitch about not getting thanks. Here's another post on the same age explaining what I just ranted about above: http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/disney-movie-original-song-instrumentals-1991-1996-a-122021/2.html#post2206308

http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/disneys-lion-king-2005-expanded-score-including-123532/#post2212074

Did I say thanks? NOPE, because I never downloaded it. Never got the chance. I was busy and I decided the one I currently have is enough. Now, could I have thanked him for his answer to my question? Of course. But I didn't, and he's not crying over it.

3.) Annnnd here's my post in your Pocahontas thread:

http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/disneys-pocahontas-lion-king-official-song-instrumentals-121390/#post2169566 what's the 3rd word? THANKS. Again, I say something about what was shared (I said it was interesting) and then said thank you.

I know I've just put you to shame. Can you say "bitchslap"? Happy New Year, asshole :D

You're not on my bad side. Let's keep it that way :)

I just get pissed off when someone accuses me of grabbing something without saying thanks. They have no clue. I was friends with a guy in my film class last year. We got into a discussion and he eventually said I'm selfish and not humble. Little was he aware of my background with my church and all the volunteer work I've done. In 2 weeks I'm going down to Staten Island to help with Sandy relief. I wouldn't say that's not humble, would you? I know it's slightly off topic, but I'm just using it as an example. Never jump to conclusions and assume things. Talking to YOU, phantomman

I try not to get on anyone's bad side. :P But I might be on Mr. Dimensioner's and Mr. Charles bad side now...

I understand about getting pissed at someone. Its happened to me a lot before (Not on the forums though). Its funny you mentioned your film class because I had a similar experience in mine this pass semester. We had just finished watching Kill Bill part 1, and I made the statement that I though Quentin Tarantino was an overrated film-maker. Little did I know, there was a die-hard Tarantino fan in our class as well, and she pretty much started yelling at me. Saying how I have no taste in film what so ever and that I never will.

Also, I was at New Orleans about 3 years ago helping with Katrina victims, and rebuilding houses. So I know what thats like... :)

Tarantino is almost my idol. I can almost say that. I don't think he's overrated. He makes some of the most unique films ever. What do all of his films have in common? They don't have a score, and the characters actually HAVE character. But I ain't gonna yell at you for that.

Regarding Mr. Charles and The Dimensioner, maybe they've been drinking lol. It is New Year's

Im not saying that I dont enjoy his films, because I do! (Minus the Kill Bill films...Ugh...) I just think hes overrated that's all. Im waiting to go see Django Unchained this weekend though. (Excited!)

Well that might be it!
