Thanks for this! Because I had nothing better to do this evening, I went through and tagged them all. Since I couldn't find a track list within a few minutes of searching, I gave them all Roman numerals for names. Seemed appropriate. :)

Hi, Pangare. Thanks for that, but those are the details for the 18 track regular editions. This is the 33 track special edition. Yeah, I know there's going to be a lot the same in there, but I can't be bothered going through and comparing them. Unless someone does post the extended track listing, I'll keep them the way I've tagged them.

But thank you, it was a very nice thought.

Many thanks, Aktivisten.
Yes, Pangare. They are the same person.
Bruno Nicolai used the pseudonym Paul
Clemente for obvious reasons.

aktivisten,
So where did this 2-disc set come from?? When was it released? I have the original 14-track vinyl album but I'm trying to find the track listing for this version but can find no information on it anywhere.

Or is it a fan-made composite?

One of the most comprehensively cocked up (pun not intended) movies of all time. Originally intended as an edgy but serious period piece, funding difficulties necessitated asking some less-than-salubrious individuals for money... with the end result of opportunistic producers quietly turning the film into a porno without the consent of the lead actors or the director...

Bruno Nicolai used the pseudonym Paul Clemente perhaps because of the subject matter of the final cut of the film.

I suspect it's from the bonus disc included in the Italian dvd release.

Thanks! Been searching for a FLAC vinylrip but this'll do just fine. :D

Alright, I just got around to listening to a few tracks. I have a few questions.

First of all, what is the source?

Second, is there any particular reason why "caligula 102" (Otherwise known as "Wood Sequence" on the vinyl release) is at a higher pitch, the type you'd find on a PAL DVD release?

Thanks for this! What a great find. I believe it might be the unreleased soundtrack cd that was supposed to accompany the "Imperial Edition" DVD. On first printings of the DVD I heard they "snuck" the music onto the set by playing it over the deleted scenes. Later editions I believe removed it. It'll probably be impossible to find a track listing because of this. Thanks again!

I read on SoundtrackCollector.com, the Italian release of the Imperial Edition might have the CD.

i haven't heard this new rip. i only know the 1980 album. i can assure you that here in italy there has never been a cd released with a dvd, it's a mistake from the soundtrackcollector site. i know well because i bought both versions that were released here. but a cd version would be very welcome, hope they'll release it in the future
