Thanks, after watched a movie, I tried to find a wonderful score and got MP3 version and really loved it, BUT this is Lossless, Wow....,this one should be one of best score of this year, and one of the best exotic score from western composer since Jarre's Arabia.

Thank you, Mr. Funny. An absolutely charming film... with a creative soundtrack that shows the composer can do almost any genre. Happy to read there are plans for a sequel to this story!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(and my name is in the original post... I feel so sparkling!)

Thomas Newman is certainly one of my very favourite composers. Indeed, as mentioned above he has turned his hand to almost any genre. He's come a long was since Revenge Of The Nerds. I've not heard this score and am looking forward to it. Many thanks. :)

SEE THE MOVIE!!!!

Judi Dench, Celia Imrie, Bill Nighy, Ronald Pickup, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkinson and Penelope Wilton- you couldn't ask for a more superlative cast of British actors (including Tom Wilkinson's wife Diana Hardcastle).

Has anyone noticed a strange noise in the last seconds of 'Not Yet the End' (track 17)?

It's sounds like an electro interference noise or something. It's more audible in the right channel speaker.
I have heard this soundtrack the other day and i don't know if this is some audio mixing glitch that was transfered to the CD, or it's really just an electronic effect purposely placed here.

Hm, that''s news to me. Only on the OST or on my expanded edition (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/2011-|-thomas-newman-|-best-exotic-141247/), too?

Only on the OST. I don't know if it's also on the expanded, i havent heard that one yet.

The noise is barely noticeable, it only lasts 2-3 seconds on the end of the track, but it becomes audible if you listen with your headphones on or with the speakers set on an high volume.

Right now i don't have this track with me so i can't upload atm, but once i get home i'll do the upload and post here to see if anyone can find this noise.

Here is the track from the OST:
Download 17 - Not Yet The End.flac from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way (http://www.sendspace.com/file/eamkfp)

This noise starts around 0:45 and only lasts 2-3 seconds. Let me know if any of you can hear a strange noise.

Yes, I hear it. Sounds like a cell phone feedback. It's also present on the promo that I used to make the expanded edition. Someone probably screwed up the recording. You should still check out my version, it really is a great score.

It also starts in the beginning of the track, slightly..

Glad I'm not the only one who can hear it. I think this confirms that something went wrong when this track was transfered to the CD.

That's right! It's really like a cell phone feedback sound. Maybe someone in the studio forgot to turn it off :D

I noticed that too. It's quick but it's there.

It's Thomas Newman. How do we know it's not one of his famous chime sounds? :awsm:

No, get the expanded version from post #26 instead. If that one should be down, I'd be happy to reupload.
