You can just decrypt the containers. For convenience you could use e.g. dcrypt.it (http://dcrypt.it/)

Sorry, but for me it's just ridiculous. U made a guide to DOWNLOAD a file! It's crazy! Do I want to listen to this? Yes. But I'm not gonna take part in this freak show. The same goes to people "it will be available for ten days, after that it will... fuck U".

He's just trying to make it worthwhile.

For me it looks like some odd social experiment. Where does this thing came from? Downloading a soft, decoding a link, begging for pass? Really? No offence, but it's just plain crazy to me. So thanks for trying to share.

I made the guide because people were getting confused on how to download them.

I do this mainly to keep my files uploaded for as long as possible without me having to re-upload them. Before I started doing this, my links were going down within days and then I get people literally begging and pleading with me to re-upload again.

The reason I get people to PM me isn't for some grab for attention, or for egotism. When people PM me asking for a password and they don't say thanks, I don't deny them because they didn't.

I'm not asking anyone to beg here, to praise me with attention or to boost my ego to receive passwords so please take your personal bias elsewhere and stop being so ungrateful :/

P.S. People can actually decrypt the DLC container files they get from nCrypt and get the links from them if they really don't want to use JDownloader/MiPony or IDM.

That's what it strikes me as. This whole process was just unnecessary. You took someone else's music that they slaved away composing then slapped it in a compressed folder, locked it and uploaded it through some obtuse means and want people to PM you for the password.

This whole ego thing pretty much applies to way too many people on here too. Stop acting so haughty because you did a gamerip or took someone else's effort and converted files. Whoopee doo, never mind looking like dicks for lock and keying someone else's music, it's not exactly a strenuous process to put something like this together.

Oh, boy. The guy's merely trying to keep the files online for as long as possible, you can't really blame one for taking such "silly" (arguable, totally subjective, in fact) measures, especially with the way file-hosting websites are cracking down on pirated content.
Is he the one who went and ripped->uploaded the music? I'd say yes, he's entitled to share it the way he prefers. Does he want you to send him a P.M. for the link/password? Either comply, or drop it. You are the one after the music, after all.

While no one in their right mind would deny that we don't own any kind of copyright to what we're sharing, in the 95% of cases, some of us still take the time to rip->pack->upload->share, something which... shall I remind you... we're absolutely not forced to do. So, again, have the little courtesy to comply with the sharer's wishes, or hope for some different source. No need to name stuff like freak shows/ego-whoring.

Some people would even complain if you deliver the content right to their front door. The best thing to deal with these idiots: ignore them :)

I agree, this process is unnecessary. But it keeps my files up for longer so personally, the trade off is worth it.

Ad hominem. The reason I password protect the archives is to keep them from being opened by the file hosters.

Well by all means, please start contributing to this site through your own game rips. Since they are so easy to do :)

Actually your arguments are ok. But still - password and file named after your dog would be enough IMO.

Of course it is like almost every rip made by every single VGM Legacy member. How did you expect them to do all their editing like looping or adding fadeouts without transcoding resulting edited tracks? Just in case you want to take a look at an original source you may check out either Alpha23`s rip (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/video-game-music-preservation-project-119745/24.html#post2205471) or another one (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f70/sine-mora-xbla-2012-game-rip-akira-112427/#post2214024) made & tagged by a different person but with obvious help of Alpha23`s script.

Even with the tutorial I don't understand how to download the rar file. I use Internet download manager and it just downloads a tiny .dlc file I can't do anything with... It doesn't check to see if the files are online or anything. Had ANYONE stuck these up on mediafire or elsewhere yet?

Those are advertisements. Click the images that have "Download file" on them. Deposit Files and TurboBit mirrors are down though so choose one of the others.

Install some ad-blocking addon for your browser. If you're using Firefox or Google Chrome, install Ad-block plus and you won't have to deal with that.
