Looks like it was taken down. I'm greatly enjoying Dragon Destiny and was hoping to get this too.

Thank you!

I love Takanashi's work. Given a budget he can create magic but with no budget he still manages to make awesome, and he's not as deliberate about it the way Kenji Kawai is (the other Japanese master of the low-budget score IMO). There's more life in Takanashi's low-budget work.

Great Guardians was only worth it for the soundtrack. This third season is a crap, in everything. 12 episodes, and they are more to fill your time. If you cut edit 12 episodes.... only 4 episodes are really relevant for the plot. I was much more into this season because of the soundtrack, which is the one I like the most.
"Saji Genpou no Theme"
was always my mindbreak track.

The production apparently saw how bad this season was, has that Xtreme Xecutor ignores this thing. It is right before the events of Dragon Destiny (DD). Which I did like more then I thought. The first season I feel like it was just to be worked as beginning DD. It was much more worth it, if you ignore all the echi thing, and see it with non perv eyes, (not saying it is your case, obviously I have seen you have "particular" good way to make your points of view shown in interesting way, plus, you are a good... critic. XD)the series is very good. I have not yet finished Xtreme Xecutor. And there are a lot of unreleased pieces since DD. :/
I have been ripping all the unreleased cues, but since there is no other on my side, there will be SFX on it.

Takanashi works are very original. Was never expecting him to be so talented with outer guitar thing, since he was in the Daisuke Ishiwatari band (guilty gear series composer.)
Terra he continues to be my top. But have you tried Jigoku Shoujo too?
Honestly, jigoku shoujo 1 and 2 are much better then the third. The third is only good with the Takanashi music. I am no fan of Hiromi Mizutani, as I tend to fin very annoying his sound. Kinda like hurts my ears. I can't listen Guilty Gear 2 Overture soundtrack vol.1 entirely because it starts to get really irritating. He uses synthesized orchestra sound, but I have heard other bad artists doing it better then him.

Sad that other last Ikkitousen animation did not had Complete stand alone releases of the soundtrack. :/

Its great to see someone who really does know his stuff, i must admit that im not that expert on anime music, well actually i would even like to get some recomendations for a future. I know Ikkitousen DD very long and i was instantly fall for its soundtrack, even that i really do not like much echi anime DD was some kind of special and i was captivated and also very suprised by depth of characters which in this genre isnt exactly normal, at least thats for me reason not watch echi.
But even after many problems with exploding clothes on everyone i really did appreciate almost everything about it, so i have DD soundtrack very long, as you did put it correctly, Great guardians sucks monkey f...s, it feels like that they just said " hey we did manage to have good story, lets ruin that with playing on beach in bikinis and nothing more, its indeed exactly worst thing what could happen after DD, but yet again Yasuharu is god, and Saji Genpou no theme is really very great example of it, here is my problem and reason why i requested this yet again, my hdd randomly blown away with my collection of whole music i did colecting almost one decade, and you sir seems like the last man on this planet with this wonderful album...
Of course i do know Jigoku shoujo and it blows my mind everytime i listen it, specially Ake ni somaru which is like one of the best anime song i did have the honor encounter. Terra is great to but i did not see anime for it, so i can speak only for music itself which is great but its stand after these two titles.
So once again i thank you for your job to make people happy, because i live for music... And now i have even one more request for you, as i read your reply i would believe that you could have very great ideas for another music so i ask you, from list i will provide below of my favorites, can you sugest something to me?

Takanashi Yasuharu ( obviously, only one album i dont exactly love which is a famous Naruto )
Higurashi no naku Ni/Ki/Ri by Kenji Kawai ( very awesome horror emotional tunes )
Girl who leapt through time ( if i do saying this right )
Ghost in the shell ( mainly enchants from Kawai, but also Yoko Kanno )
Wolfs rain ( Yoko Kanno again )
Perfect blue ( one hell of a deppresive stuff but really great )
Gantz ( original series, which isnt exactly have soundtrack at all )
And finaly one game ost which i think is best japanese horror music ever which is Siren - Blood curse from Hitomi Shimizu. Yes i prefer horrors by the way.
So if you can lend a hand with some tips i would apreciate that and of course i can for exchange help with non anime material as well.
PS: You could like score for The darkness game, one of the best combination of metal with orchestra and very emotional cues between...

I am not into echi too. I started watching Ikkitousen because of the missing tracks, as I am watching it I am ripping them. 1990ts echi were not so Harcore as nowadays.
Anyway, DD Plots is awesome, and we have really good fighting issues there. The characters have good development too. I ended up liking it better then I thought. and the final battle was great. I expected more..... but it was good enough.
GG is a trash. GG completely fools you, with that great choreography in the first episode between Ryomou and Kan'u. Which is the BEST scene ALL OVER the show. The rest is trashy.

Jigoku Shoujo, I saw it, and I was actually afraid it would be a clone of Vampire Princess Miyu. But I was wrong. The first season is good enough for me to say "I like it". The second Season.... I think they stretch it too much. They should keep it as an OVA, since only 6 episodes (more or less) are actually important for all of the plot. I did like season 2, not much as I did like the first. But the idea is still interesting.
The third season is horrible. I just kept on seeing as studying how far Japanese psychology is broken. The third season I don't recommend to anyone. It is incredibly immoral in so much stories, and though I know what they wanted to do in it, they failed. Basically, this shows how pervert, sexists, and disgusting Japanese can be in mind. I hate the third season. if you see it and study it you will see what I mean, though I don't recommend it.

About the music recommendations I don't quite get you there? But I will try to talk... XD

Kenji Kawai was always horror mood. I am horror mood music person too. His works on Ringu are awesome, but my favorite horror mood soundtracks of him are Dark water and Ringu2. Ghost in the Shell had in interesting idea. And I love them. Yoko Kanno came on the series going a bit back on how she owrked in Cowboy Bebop, so in a way I was happy, but then... she seemed to see, or someone saw that way, that she would have to make soundtracks like that from now on. As I miss a lot her full orchestra soundtracks. Naming a few: Escaflowne & Brain Powerd
I never saw Gantz, Takanashi did teh soundtrack, why it was never released is beyond my understanding.
Best Horror game, for me, with the best soundtrack , is Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem. I know there are some other games with great horror soundtrack, right now, I don't recall any. ..oh wait... Resdient Evil 2 by Masami Ueda. Make him do more horror music.

Well i did cross Ikkitousen by pure accident, i was actually like that name of the show, im trying to not look on a story plot as much as i can, so i was like very suprise when all of the sudden they was ripping theyr clothes off ( it was actually first echi i did see, well i watched 3 overall ), but accidentaly i wasnt know that DD isnt not first season, but thats maybe good because i wasnt actually much taken by first one, well there is cutely dumb Sonsaku Hakufu but still, its very basic...
DD was awesome i cant even describe it, there is like from every single genre something and it really works, also relationship between main villain is just great, for more i really liked how dragon form was described so brutal it was actually kind of disturbing sometimes see that little girl just randomly killing people, and thats just what makes this season so great, bad things happened everyone without differences, also even it had a huge amount of characters, everyone has a reason...
Actually yeah that fight in GG was very good, but.... still its worth of lizard crap...

I did see Vampire princess Miyu, but i liked Jigoku shoujo much more, im from Czech republic, we dont know what anime is famous or not, after seing this somebody actually laugh at me that i watching comercial anime, well screw that, im glad. The best thing on JS is Enma Ai story, i wasnt watched soo much pain and sadness in animated story ever, i was stunt by her tale how she died, im movie critic so i did see like one bazilion movies and series, but this was purely emotional bomb and even that series was not primaraly about her i did eat every her word she said about anything...hehehe
There is my thing, just because i was captivated by Enma i didnt actually realise any of things you dislike, off course i was stuned by sending people to hell over a dog and it could be sad as it wants to be, the line between who deserve it was sometimes very tin, so yeah i did realise that, but moral decisions in 3 season? I must be really blind, also i did see that only once, and i looking forward to second run....

I meant that list of things i wrote is like model of what i like in anime overall for music, and i would like to know what other soundtracks you would recommend me based of that list... sorry my english sometimes is doing what it wants itself....

Im fan of horror music, i did heard both Ringu and Dark water, but i must admit i was more liked Hans Zimmer version of Ring, i usually dont like much Zimmer, but with Pledge, this was different from his other works... But... Kenji Kawai is just awesome with GITS - Innocence, these chants are so different to modern movie music so much, its beatiful....
Yoko Kanno is very strange person, i personaly dont like everything what she did for GITS:SS but she manage to do very cool cooperations with weird singers, if i would like something from her most, it would be Wolfs rain, thats just magical... Also Brain powered is very classical and cool...
Gantz is one ridicilously absurd and good anime, it has soo weird plot, but i actually did not know that Yasuharu is responsible...
Well from horror music in gaming i must say, that it would be Dead space 1, not because its mainstream, but Jason Graves can be so brutal and sureal its just amazing, even most people has migrane from it...
Motion picture horrors with great music is - two old ones - Carrie and Hitchhiker, its fantastic...
For new ones almost every horror tune that Marco Beltram doo
And finaly for series, obviously from my avatar its Millennium by Mark Snow, i can swear that i would listen to that until i die, it is best...
What about you? Also very good tip is Stoker by Clint Mansell....

I forgot that. Jason Graves. Yes. He is like, what I would say mastermind in Horror tune. Dead Space, and some other of his works are really sick for horror mood.

Gantz anime should have had a soundtrack. There was a moment when a main character died and a good track played.
This one: GantZ OST Death of Nishi Full version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Em0U6ywaPQo)

So yeah XD
