'Les Miserables' - The 2012 film version of Boublil & Schonberg's smash-hit musical.

As with all filmed musicals in recent years, the score is often recorded prior to the cast's voices being added/dubbed onto them (or the other way round as was the case here). Therefore, I'm wondering if any lucky user on here has been able to acquire a copy of the orchestra only recording sessions for this not the vocals which were recorded live on set to a guide piano accompaniment?

Unfortunately as with all these shows that get the film treatment, they never release just the orchestra alone - always with the cast's voices included grrr!!!

Unless, There's A Cast & Crew Album.

It'll still have the singing on it. You don't go giving the cast a copy of the instrumental alone to their songs ;-)

Amen. I'm hoping we can at least get the end credits suite released soon. I was very excited to see Anne Dudley did the orchestration for the film. I love her American History X score.

You got a copy of that bootleg academy awards video promo too then I take it?! The 5.1 surround sound copy has a lot of the instrumentals in the rear surrounds, however, the quality is awful so best wait for an official release to get a much better version of it to play around with instead. For the complete soundtrack (vocals and dialogue etc.), the copy that has an MP3 320kps soundtrack (48khz) is the best one to use and is what I've got also.
