I have't seen anyone with this thread yet so might as well.

Who is your favorite Eidolon?Why?

Mine would most definetly be BAHAMUT, the pretty little dragon( okay so he's not so little). the main reson that I like him is because he is a dragon.
My other favorite is Alexander. I just love his wings.

Alexander (I know you couldn't use it, but it was there)

He made that CG at the " Detruction of Alexandria " look very well.

I hardly ever used any of the Eidolons, but I'll go with Madeen because that was the one I did seem to use every once in a while. Ark's animation was pretty cool too.

Same here I used Madeen a lot but I like Ark more, powerful and longer animation (ahh... I duno)

Definately Alexander. The holy, noble, and sacrificial Eidolon.

I would've liked it if you had both Garnet and Eiko in the party they could do a double summon to get him. :(

Madeen is an original summon and quite extraordinary at that..
and i'll take your word for it kawiridle (because i never acquired that Eidolon..) that Ark is one of the best as well. Bahamut was great i admit..wish there was a movie for Madeen as well..kicking the daylights out of MeltiGemini..

I like alexander's wings, bahamut looks sweet, madeen is great because its from mog, and carbuncle is cool lookin too

Alexander was truly amazing...also, i'm kinda partial to Odin.

Alexander kicked some major ass with the impact it had and the effort it took to get it up and going to protect the city from Bahamut. Although in terms of usable Eidolons, I'm gonna have to go with Bahamut. Just getting Garnet's Trance ability up and going with this summon and you're looking at some major ass damage occurring.

Leviathan and Phoenix are my favorites. ^_^ Leviathan is just really kool. Phoenix has a pretty animation and he saved me in my fight with Ozma ;p.

My favorite GF from 9.... (sorry, I forgot what they call summons in 9) is, duuuhhhh..... MADEEN!!!!!!!!!

If it has anything to do with moogles, I'm there.

I liked Madeen, it dishes decent damage.

However, compared to Madeen, Leviathan has the coolest summoning Animation. Nothing comes close, especially not Ark, whose animation was (IMO) a waste of time.

Leviathan > Anything else.

Bahamut for me as well.....

If any eidlon should be the god it should be a cross between Alexander and ark. the true power of holy/evil!! it would rock!!
but you cant cross eidlons so it has to be alexander, his wings are sweet as............pie.

Oh yeah! He (reads FF9 script again and rediscovers Mog is female) Oh I mean SHE made FF9 a hell lot easier!!! Damn, It always gave Kuja a whooping of 9999 baby!!! Hmm, Bahamut's pretty cool too, he gave some 6000-7000 damage to Kuja as well. Madeen's got a pretty cool entrance too! The only Eidolons I ever use are:

Phoenix ('coz I usually die ^^)
Leviathan
Atomos
Bahamut

and the one I ALWAYS use

Bahamut does rock indeed, but i never really used him much....or any other eidlons, i didn't really need to cause zidane, steiner and vivi did all the damage and dagger just healed the team, and isn't madeen used by eiko?

Favorite ediolon: Odin (with the accesories so he does damage on enemies also)

Eiko is a very awesome character, if you use her. Her Holy and Madeen rock, and I personally prefer her over Garnet in my party any time.

If only you could exchange summons so Eiko can get Leviathan...

The only reason eiko sucks for me is that she is too far back in the que to train by the time everyone gets their. its like...........eating at a pie contest, a skinny guy vs the biggest guy eg in FF terms selphie vs quina

What?! Any character joins the party at about the same level as the other characters and as for abilities, it's called Grand Dragons.

Uhm oh yeah! I never got to ask, the only Eidolons I don't have are Odin and Ark, how do I get them?! O.o You know, so I can get 'em when I play again.

To get Odin, you just have to go Treno's auction house on Disc 3 (I don't think you can do it before then, but I may be wrong.) Wait for the Dark Matter to be one of the items to bid on and just make sure that you win. You equip to Garnet as an accessory to get Odin. She also has Odin as one her "initial" Eidolons, but good luck getting her to have enough MP to use it in that state.

To get Ark - you need both Pumice Pieces. I forget how you get them both, but I'm sure you can find it in FAQ, or quickly by going to Google and searching "Ark" "Pumice Piece."

Yeah, you can get the Dark Matter from Treno's Auction House from Disk 3 and on. It's usually the last item up for bid.

As for the Pumice, there are a few ways to get one. One, you can win it from beating Ozma, the toughest boss in the game. You can also synth one at Hades's synth shop (you have to find and defeat Hades first) using two Pumice Pieces. You can get 4 in the game, 1 from beating Ark in Oeivert, 1 from a chocograph treasure, 1 from stealing from Ozma, and the last one you get from synthing a hammer with a pumice. Odds are, you won't need to synth the Pumice if you can obtain the last 2 pieces mentioned.

The Bahamut + Alexander fight = best fight in FF. It's a too close a battle between Bahamut and Alexander (despite his lack of use) to call and Odin close behind them.

Mine has got to be Bahamut because it's the coolist out of them all.

The Bahamunt in FF9 has to be the best drawn Bahamut, obviously it's better than the ones before because the technology got better but it's definatly better than in FF10

I agree, Bahamut in FF9 is better than FFX. In FFX, it just looks like a bunch of ceramic peices in form of a Dragon.
