I don't care in what format they are, I'm not one of those insane FLAC freaks. MP3 is fine with me. I also have sessions to give in return, but obviously I only give my list in PMs.

I will also take the chance to answer some questions some of you are bound to ask to spare them the effort.
1. Why don't you share everything you have?
Because some of you don't do that either, and because some things can't be shared unless you want important contacts to stop giving you things, or worse, because you might get in trouble with companies if you do.
2. Will you share what you receive?
Only if I receive permission from my sources, otherwise, no, not a chance, sorry.
3. This is a sharing forum. Why do you post this request here?
Because it's the only place I know of that could help me find new contacts.

This belongs in the request section of the forum. This section is for dl links, and since you are not posting anything, I will bet this will get moved.

true, but there are things that go on via pm. i'm all in favor of more people getting various recording sessions and-or complete scores. more copies mean more of a chance of a share someday! :D

Others have done this. And admin has mostly shut him down. But, ya, I'd just leave him be. All this will do is stir up bad feelings, so let him keep at it. And if admin close it, then that is his answer. If they don't, then that is ours. Simple enough really.

Like it or not, the more trade traffic, the better the chances of a future public leak :-). Someone's going to do the inevitable, but I know how frustrating it is to know these RS's are somewhere in circulation, and we can't get our hands on them.....yet!

Sorry, but as I said, it's the only place left for me to get to know new people. Please understand my situation. I have to expand my limited circle of contacts. I will not leak things if I'm not allowed, but others may do that in my place one day. Think of the benefits: even if I won't leak, the sessions become more accessible for people if we trade. Hasn't it been proved that waiting simply doesn't change anything?

I don't personally believe in this sort of back room stuff, but the fact is this happens all the time.I think the frustration expressed here is that members can openly see it. So it is almost like taunting, and it really, really frustrates the average collecter who may never get a chance at these things. Surely there has to be a better, more sensitive way to go about this?

You'd be surprised td the number of reactoins I already got. And if you know a better way, please let me know.

Indeed i think the same. And about leaking things... I think thats a thing of the past. Internet is for all, simple as that. Dont want your things get on the net, dont upload them or dont give to the wrong people.

Sorry, do you honestly think everything everyone has is on this forum? Then think again. And I repeat, do you have better ways to expand your circle of contacts? What do you want me to do, walk into a shop or street and address random people? I know this isn't fun, but I was sick of waiting and waiting so I decided to enter the trade world myself, and it has paid off.

Alternatively, you could do what I did. Hang out on this forum for an extended period of time simply observing the behavior of certain members. You start to get a sense of which ones have some of the rarer stuff. And then you go to them in private and ask, "What would it take to get something I want from you?"

This is an incredibly dangerous thing you're doing here--like real world, serious trouble sort.

And I repeat: this forum is not for trading. If you want to trade go elsewhere. What you're doing here is no different than all the rest of them. "Hey guys! Bollemanneke has something rare that a lot of people here want but he isn't going to share it publicly!"

There is a paradox here, and I also feel that you are about to shatter the boundaries as we know them--not necessarily a good thing. You'll piss off a load of people if you start trading for things and then posting what they traded. On the flip side...Oh forget it.

This place is supposed to share contents for free... Thats all. There other ways to do what youre trying to achieve, example: Asking in Private Trackers, asking people here who posted interesting material and you think it may be a right "contact" for you (and seriously, stop using this word to describe people please...), etc.

Dont want to share things you have. OK. But at least dont say you have tons of sweet things that you wont share, is simple as that. And for me, wont say no more but as you can see A LOT of people are seeing you as the same way.

I never said I had tons of things I didn't want to share, I have A FEW things I can't share. I already did what you proposed, going to random people hwo posted interesting stuff, and it led me to interesting things, but I wouldn't start this thread if I didn't need other contacts, would I?

Honestly, the Harry Potter scores, aren't exactly the most protected scores on Earth, people know that we want them, and yes people DO have them (I don't know anyone, but we know at least chamber of secrets is out there and it's likely the others are as well) thing is, these aren't as well protected as oh idk...a Hans Zimmer score, or anything by Sony (Lemony Snicket and even bigger, TITANIC) My point being, why on Earth do you think if someone here has them and hasn't posted them that they would just give them to you in a trade. If they can't share them (which honestly, I don't know why they couldn't) then why would they trade them? If someone has them here, they aren't flaunting them about claiming to have them. So, honestly, I don't think you're going to find the droids you're looking for here, if you haven't found them via PM, and they are NOT posted here, how would this thread possibly help?

There's no proof they're legit unless they're in 100% pure lossless. A lot of people will back me up on this. Anyone can do a DVD or worse, a YouTube rip and say "this is legit"

But what's the matter that it's legit or not? Look, if someone sends me a sample otoorrow of a cue from a HP movie with no SFX whatsoever, does it matter where it comes from? The source was legit then, wasn't it? The only thing I care about is no SFX and slate numbers if it's possible. I have better things to do than watsing harddisk spce with huge flac files, sorry. I can hear the difference between a DVDRip or a real session, no matter the format.

A month ago you didn't even know what slate numbers were. If it's not legit then you are lying to the people you are trading with.

And for the record, one can just simple convert the FLAC files to MP3 if you're not going to use the FLAC files. That's what I do.

So it can be in 60 KBPS...and you would not care?

I know I can convert them, but I'm just saying that I don't want FLAC to start with. I mean, if I would have to say 'no' to every person who doesn't have flac scores? Of course I don't want 60KBPS, THE MINIMUM IS 128KBPS, but that's a format in which I convert all my music and I'm happy with it.

My mouth, too, has physically dropped to the floor. Sure, at first mp3 would be just fine for everybody because, HEY, it's the music we all wanted. But then they would start bitching for it in FLAC. Just because it isn't in FLAC doesn't not make it 'legit' but you won't do very well if you're trading people something that is in lossy.

You convert ALL your music to 128kbps? You can transcode down but it is impossible to transcode up.

I have an extremely valuable source and he doesn't mind if I give him his wishes in MP3 or not, because it's the music we all want.

I don't mind haveing scores in 128, but if a FLAC OR 320 version comes around I jump at it immediately, so if you were to give it in (true) FLAC to this "mystery source" he would appreciate it more than just "crappy" mp3. (btw any Choir work sounds distorted at 128, 192kbps is probably better, but 320 is the lowest you really should go.)

Hi Faleel, at last someone with some common sense... I don't dislike people for wanting FLAC, I'm just saying that I have a program to decode 128KBPS to 5.1 and I'm happy enough with the sound! I also understand how audiophiles feel, I'm just saying that if people would refuse any trade just because it wasn't in FLAC... Well, 90% of the trades wouldn't work.

Yes, and as long as I don't leak, he's fine with it. The initial plan was to attract more people so I got to know traders I haven't met before...

I have a friend who says he has alot of recording sessions... He also say's he is a Nigerian Prince. ;)

This is a place to make music requests, so that any member who have it can share in the forum for you and for anyone interested, and not a-place-to-find-new-useful-contacts-for-trading-purposes-requests, and in the meantime get-some-requested-score-which-i-won't-share-in-return-because-i'm not-allowed-to-do.

Good luck finding any of those recording sessions though.
