Thanks for posting them! As I understand it when they first came out on CD they where mp3 only, I had to go to CD after I wore out the tapes and converted the vinyl for my computer (the vinyl is safely stored)...for you to have them in flac they had to remaster the original tapes, because a lot of the tracks were recorded in mono (thats all they had at the time) and they where for TV, so money was not used to record in stereo for a one speaker black/white TV...of course thats assuming these flac files are in stereo? at lest the first 4 albums anyway.

A bit of both. Vol 7 for example has the Benny Hill Theme "Yakety Sax" (the particular version on this disc was used on the show from 1983 to 1986).

The version I have (Wax and CD) of "Television's Greatest Hits, Volume 1: From the 50s and 60s" track 12 has both the opening and ending themes to The Jetsons. I Hope this helps...

Just fyi:

Volume 4 - Track 20 is a theme song for an obscure early/mid-'60's TV show named "Karen". What makes it interesting is that it is performed by the Beach Boys (I don't think Brian wrote it, though) and this CD is the ONLY place you can find it officially outside of a bootleg "Still I Dream Of You. Rare Works Of Brian Wilson" and on there it is sourced from an mp3. A true rarity!

Been looking for a lossless version of this for years as the CD itself costs an arm, a leg and at least 2 other digits of your choice!

Again, just fyi: Many if not most of these tracks are modern re-recordings and not the original recorded songs. "Karen" is the original Beach Boys, though.

What I am remenising over is a EP TV tunes did in the 80's where they beat mixed a lot of the themes together with Jetson's as the frame....one of the funnest things I had heard at the time.....Alas, my wax EP is long gone.....If I find it in my searches, I'll link it here for you guys....It is worth the listen!

You mean you tried volume 1 and found it dead, and then didn't try the rest. The others are all still active.

That sounds like finger printing is involved. Try to change the CRC or maybe just choose a different file hosting site. ;-)

Living in Germany at the time of release of these Cd's, i could not get my hands on the last one, the one with the commercials (#8). All the others I own on CD

waoooo surprised that there are people who look and like the same thing that is interesting and magical music, here in Peru I bought the first volume I called the attention the title of the cover and the design and I bought it .. and it occurred to me to look if there would be a second volume and surprise surprise that cost more expensive discs on the internet and I get the surprise that had risen the other volumes on the network and I found in this forum thanks kobalski for this collection greetings from Peru and write in English so they can read it more easily
