RE: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?op96hvpt10egpvi

Link and files removed now due to yet another copyright claim/suspension I'm afraid. I've used various file sharing sites for this, but it keeps getting suspended/deleted - sometimes within hours of my upload. Anyway, here's the latest notification sent to me:

Dear MediaFire User:

MediaFire has received notification under the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") that your usage of a file is allegedly infringing on the file creator's copyright protection.

The file named Disney Movie Instrumentals (MP3 320kps).zip is identified by the key (op96hvpt10egpvi).

As a result of this notice, pursuant to Section 512(c)(1)(C) of the DMCA, we have suspended access to the file.

The reason for suspension was:

Hi, Please find attached a DMCA request takedown notice: To Whom It May Concern: I hereby confirm that I believe the music contained in the link below infringe our clients’ copyright. Relevant Information Country in which copyright applies Worldwide. How the identified music infringes our copyright The music tracks are all unreleased instrumental recordings featuring musicians whose performances have not been licensed for that use. The soundtrack infringes on the rights of our members who have authorized us to act on their behalf in resolving this. Type of Copyright Work Unreleased recordings. No appropriate link is available, as the work is not published and/or released. Copyright Holders AMA Session Musicians, DVAAR. We are authorized to act on behalf of these musicians.

EmpireSB's original account was full of goodies, but it was deleted in early 2011. I think those were DVD rips, though. He came back in late 2011 with some "Beauty and the Beast" tracks. He started uploading the isolated score to "Beauty and the Beast," but part 3 was deleted and then his whole account, yet again. Yet, tons of other "Beauty and the Beast" and other Disney music still remain on YouTube. There's no rhyme or reason. It's really a shame he's been X'd twice! I read that he was going to release his isolated score to "Beauty and the Beast" when he is finished.

Anyway, thanks again for sharing all these instrumentals. :-)

Yes they did do one back in the 1990s (on cassette only) with 5 of the song instrumentals from 'Little Mermaid' on it, but unfortunately, they also chose to ruin the lot by adding some awful midi instrument to each track playing the tune! I could post them, but I think they'd wind everyone up because it wound me up when I first heard what they'd done!

Incidentally, the 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' tracks I've posted come from the same cassette-only series (released all but briefly in the 1990s before being deleted), which I've had professionally transfered to digital :-)

My GUESS would be that the MIDI instruments are there to cover the melody, which was often left to the vocalist? It would be frustrating, but I, too, would be very curious to hear them.

Are you being serious right now? Like legitimately, for real? You honest-to-God deleted the link after only a week because over 400 people had downloaded it but nowhere near 400 people had given you their thanks?! You can't possibly expect that many people to respond. I felt the same way about my uploads: "800 downloads but only 30 thanks? What a bunch of selfish little lurkers and such," I thought. But you know what I didn't think? "I'm going to delete the links because there aren't enough people visibly expressing their appreciation for this rare item that I have gifted them with. I guess they don't deserve to download it any more, so I'm going to remove the links."

No, I did not think that. I thought: this just must be how it works. And if that is how it has to work, then so be it. People were downloading my stuff until the day MegaUpload shut down. And I did not care one bit if I got a 400:1 download to thanks ratio. Please reconsider your decision to remove your upload if only for the people that were late to your party and only want to share in the rare and highly sought-after upload you shared once before.

tnpir4002
11-14-2012, 02:46 AM
Somehow I missed phantomman86's...rationale for removing the file. All I can say is...

...I'm speechless.

You know, I'm producing one of the Internet's most prominent CGI fan films right now, my last in fact, titled "Star Trek III: Redemption." On average, each scene gets 150 views, five likes, and maybe three comments. (By comparison, the first one was getting probably triple that.) I don't get petulant at the fact that I don't have dozens of people viewing or publicly responding, because that's not why I'm making it--I'm making it for the enjoyment of it. And I can promise you, a lot of honest hard work goes into every single frame that I make. Pursuing my interest and sharing it with others for their enjoyment is the payoff, and knowing I did something that no one else has.

Actually I'm not so speechless anymore...I've managed to think of two words: grow up.

Listen up, people:

You can't expect every single person on here to express thanks. I, for one, make sure to, but there are people here who don't even ever post anything at all. They take and don't give back. Those are the people who most likely downloaded a million times and never said thanks. You just CANNOT expect 1 "thank you" for every 1 download. This is the world we live in. Grow up, and quit bitching about people not expressing their thanks. Thank you :)

Zeratul13
11-14-2012, 01:43 PM
so much as i agree with not taking a lack of thanks personally, it is still the uploader's choice if to share. i do thank for original chances to download though :)

That sucks. The long and short is that they want everything to remain unreleased and to hell with the fans. Heaven help us if they find out that full sessions from them have leaked out. It seems as though somebody here is reporting the links to Disney themselves, or MediaFire has a setup identifying certain files. MediaFire is unreliable anyways, but there are so few alternatives these days. I personally would try depositFiles, they seem to hold up okay.

It is rather curious they don't go after the bootlegs for their films, though. Maybe there is hope if sessions for them ever come out.

I feel for you and understand what you're trying to say, but "your stuff"? Man, get out of here with that term. Just because you upload it doesn't entitle it as YOURS. Imagine how the artists feel when people like us are illegally downloading THEIR stuff. That they spend weeks, and months composing. See the difference?

I don't think 10 minutes, an hour or several hours of one click uploading is in any way, shape or form similar.

No wonder people are crazy about the whole "I NEED X AMOUNT OF THANKS BEFORE I SHARE MORE BECAUSE MY EGO MUST GROW!" starts flying out. Holy crap. I am appreciative of everybody's contributions. But the whole ego's needing to be stroked needs to be repressed.

Well I might have had yet another go and added all the other instrumentals I mentioned previously until I saw the post above by Tyrion Lannister. Now I think my sharing days on here are definitely over after reading that! Anyway, by all means someone else can upload what I've posted so far - I'll be keeping the rest to myself ;-) Finally, unlike 99.9% of stuff on here, my collection has never been commercially available anywhere, so a little thanks in return would have been nice as opposed to attacks like that.

Why would what Tyrion said change your mind? I don't think he was criticizing you. He was being critical of The Dimensioner. In any case, it's your choice not to upload anything else and I thank you for uploading some of your gems. I know hundreds more are grateful even if they didn't download them directly from you.

As a side note, I heard from EmpireSB the other day and he is about 85% done with "Beauty and the Beast." While his sources include the Blu-ray and DVDs, he said there is no SFX and instrumentals/album versions/alternates are included, too. Can't wait!

Um, false. I'll go with false. Roughly 40% of the stuff on here has never been commercially available. You should stop being a child and grow up. Don't pull the dick move that all the bad elitists like to play: "haha, I have other things to share with you but I'm not going to because I don't like you people."

Sorry, but I have to agree with Tyrion Lannister on this one.

In fact, I just checked what was on the first page of this forum presently, and just from guessing, I figure 9/30 of the scores listed there were not commercially released--that's 30%. And that is a lower end estimate!

Thanks for the suggestion. With "Beauty and the Beast," the tracks start off synced, but the instrumentals gradually speed up and end about half a second before the officially released versions. Maybe they were sped up slightly so they could fit all the songs on the tape cassette?

Yup! Thats what its like for the Lion King as well. I think they speed them up so that people wont create their own Isolated Scores and upload them like some people do here. The same thing happens with the Nightmare before Christmas instrumentals from the Danny Elfman & Tim Burton 25th CD Set.

I don't think that's the case with these instrumentals, though. According to the uploader, these instrumentals came from cassette tapes created in the 90s way before consumers could afford the tools (if they existed for consumers at the time) to create isolated scores. Since there is limited space on cassette tapes, that why I think they sped up the music so it would all fit on the tapes. Otherwise, I'm not sure why they would alter the sped in the 90s.

Is it really that hard to provide me set of link for this one? At least 50 people downloaded it, why there is not single one who can provide links via PM? If my links get deleted and someone ask me to send him/her links via PM, it usually take single request and 24 hours (exclusive release) whereas here my requests are widely ignored. There are lots of FS services if you don't know which one to choose (like BillionUploads).

Oh and BTW, the reason why some tracks from movies are slower/faster is because the sample rate conversion 44.1 > 48kHz or 48 > 44.1 kHz is done by only writing the sample value to the file headers, not by actually "converting" it. This is the reason why Lion King score (2005 release) is a bit slower than the music in the film. However I am not sure about the Beauty and the Beast, it appear to be just different mix.

Sorry, I didn't know that anyone else was looking otherwise I would have sent a PM. I'll gladly send a PM with a download link if/when hack3rman's link goes down. I usually use 4shared.com and have never had anything removed from there.

The sample rate of these tracks is 44.1kHz. I converted all of them to 48kHz, but the instrumentals still play faster than the film versions. The "Beauty and the Beast" tracks are actually the same mix, just a tad bit faster.

The speed on cassette tapes always fluctuates somewhat despite these being a direct copy from the original studio master tapes. As it happens, I've got the complete instrumental scores to 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Pocahontas' and 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' in this format (Dolby 'C' HX Pro), the others are from digital sources including a virtually complete set from 'The Lion King', 'The Little Mermaid', 'Aladdin', 'Toy Story', 'Pocahontas' and 'Hercules' to name but a few :-)

After everything that has gone on here, can you honestly say you expect him to? I'm remaining as neutral as I can here, but when I joined a few of my requests were granted so I posted stuff. For him, it's not happened that way, and it doesn't happen that way, nobody even responds to requests any more. Regardless of how you paint it, sharing is a two-way road. Would it hurt to at least look at the requests forum once in a blue moon, even if all you post is "Sorry, haven't come across it"? I got that even as far back as when I started looking for The Lion King, and it's a damn sight more than what phantomman86's been getting.

Suffice it to say that there are a lot of people who would swap their bodies and souls (I wouldn't quite go that far but it is on my holy grail list) just to get Lion King alone that won't get it now.

I'm going to remain neutral here, too, and not answer that question. However, I do agree about sharing being a two-way road. Unfortunately, I don't have anything new to offer to the table - I simply have what everyone else has. I'll gladly reupload a link if the original is dead.

Also, I'm curious... why isn't Star Wars Episode III Recording Sessions on your wish list?

The instrumentals seem to match the film print sans music. There were certain alterations the film versions suffered however: IE Hakuna Matata has a section that appears to just be a loop without certain instruments, Be Prepared appears to be sped up and slowed down in certain places. Circle of Life has a different midsection in the film compared to the instrumental and the official version, which may complicate matters further.

I've got two different versions of 'The Lion King' instrumentals. Never listened to either enough to know exactly what the differences might be. However, I think the old analogue copy I've had since the 1990s may match the film and CD releases more than the more recent digital copy I acquired. NOTE: it was the digital copy I originally posted on here with an alternative 'Be Prepared' from my original analogue copy also included.

Okay, first of all, STOP using Mediafire! They have people over there that look at ALL new files, because of this new DCMA bullshit, and THEY are the ones that are deleting the files, NOT a complaint from Disney! That's much too fast to get a notice from anyone at Disney. Say, if a Disney employee saw the file up there on the first day, they would have to bring it to the attention of someone in their "Merchandising" dept, to see if the site is legit, and if the disc is real, or bootleg. Then, that dept would contact the legal dept, where a decision would have to be made as to what to do about this storage site. THEN, they would compose a "cease and desist" letter, and forward it to Mediafire, which would take, at the inside, at least 2 months! This is being done within 24 hours! Mediafire is doing this THEMSELVES!

Just go with HOTFILE, or Rapidshare, and avoid all that bullshit!

I did try saying that e-mail address "Disney" gave lead right back to an Indian e-mail host. If it was truly Disney it would be through a Disney-assigned e-mail or through a US solicitor's email. Nobody listened.

Ok but on youtube ive found some different versions of Arielle in Harmony and i really hope there is a way to get some special songs maybe in another way?

Finally, I found my song for Joy's "Ultimativer Disney Contest" ("Ultimate Disney Contest"): "Ich werd es beweisen / I can go the distance" fro Hercules.
I'm quite pleased with the outcome because the song is actually a little bit too high for my voice (originally, I was bass XD)
Oh, and the voice of Zeus is my voice, only pitched a little bit deeper to make it fit. Apart from that, everything else is my normal singing voice.
I'm thanking Joy for making the instrumental version!

Beauty and the Beast has never been released as a score bar the sheet music of course! Also, EmpireSB doesn't have an isolated score for it and all he posted were excerpts he'd made himself using various DVD/blu-ray menus and what was clean on the soundtracks.
