The game came out today and still nothing about the OST.

The game is damn near impossible to rip properly. It uses Wwise and the streams are heavily segmented. There are no filenames and there is no XML file to use as a reference to put them together again.

only thing I could find about this soundtrack is one e3 trailer track being released for free. No mention of an official ost release yet... :(

Even for the recently released SH: book of memories (same composer) is the OST now available at itunes. I hope there will be a Official Soundtrack for this one as well.

It is in fact possible to rip this game. I did it a few days ago. Just use the method described here if you already have the game: Extracting Audio from Borderlands 2 - The Gearbox Software Forums (http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=152307)

You can use "Extractor" from http://www.box.net/shared/0f0hfp8mz2 , and extract all of the .wav files from that package. Download ww2ogg from Stream ripping tools (http://hcs64.com/vgm_ripping.html) and put ww2ogg.exe and packed_codebooks_aoTuV_603.bin in the same place that you extracted the wav files.

Open a command prompt and go to wherever you extracted them. The following shell command will convert everything to .ogg:

FOR /F "tokens=*" %G IN ('DIR /B *.wav') DO ww2ogg.exe "%G" --pcb packed_codebooks_aoTuV_603.bin
Then download revorb http://yirkha.fud.cz/progs/foobar2000/revorb.exe
And then run this commandline FOR /F "tokens=*" %G IN ('DIR /B *.ogg') DO revorb.exe "%G"
This worked for me. You have to use the pck files that start with Bank_music.

The challenge isn't extracting the source files, like I said, it's putting them back together again that's the problem.

Without an XML file and no file names it makes it very difficult to do.

It's true, it's mostly 10, 20, 30 second files, but I really like the Main theme and the End Credits. There are some that are more than a minute long. I suspect that there might be some sort of music system in place that randomly puts the music files together so there arent really any actual tracks.

Could you please upload all the music files? :) I have been looking for something like this for days but no luck. :(
