Neo Sephiroth

absolutly NOTHING! get all 12 and nothing happens...exept you might get a fuzzy feeling for having a full set of toy soldiers...

PuRiKaH
02-09-2004, 05:07 PM
Wrong. When you get all 12 then all the soldiers you can buy for the Fort Condor mission come for free. But it's extremely annoying to try to get all 12.

And here was me thinking they were completely and utterly useless...

Mind you, by the time you get all 12, you've got stupid amounts of cash and can buy all the soliders you ened anyway, right?

Aah well, cheers for that information mate. :)

Kuro
02-09-2004, 05:46 PM

Neo Sephiroth
02-09-2004, 05:49 PM

Kuro
02-09-2004, 05:55 PM

Arcanine78
02-09-2004, 05:56 PM
no the 1/35 stays the same. it's not a quantity gauge but a scale!

Edit: and if anyone at least knows what/who i can refer to for the location of all twelve please post...

Is there any where else you can get them besides the 2 you find at Junon and the ones you win on the rollercoaster at Gold Saucer?

Nope. That's it. What a wind up, right ?

Ha! A friend told me that if you get 35 1/35 soldiers you can get an Aeris Clone or a Sephiroth clone at Cosmo Canyon. What a buffoon.

Yeah, I heard that too.

And yeah, you get them from playing the rollercoaster game at Gold Saucer. I have 12 of them myself but never thought if they had any use.

I rarely do the Fort Condor thing properly anyway. There are 3 times you can do it (the 3rd time is for the Huge Materia) but I always buy just one soldier and let them reach the hut, That way you just fight the boss with your characters and all's the same. You just get exp. and stuff aswell as saving gil. :D

From what I know, the 1/35 soldiers are just a useless item, when once you have them all, you can brag to your friends saying I got the whole set.

Their was a rumour where if you got the whole set of 12, as well as some special item, may've been Mithril, as well as another item, and take them to the blacksmith where you find Aeris's Great Gospel limit break, give him the items and come back later, he'll of created a Sephiroth clone for you to have in your party. The blacksmith will give the Sephiroth clone a weapon, after the clone assaults him.

Of course, that's complete and utter B.S. As far as I'm concerned, the 1/35 soldiers are, as I said above, utterly useless.

No, read my earlier post. They allow you to get free soldiers on the Fort Condor mission. I've done it myself.

Darth Revan
02-10-2004, 11:56 AM
I said it was a rumour I had heard. And besides, I've played that battle to death, and I just personally find the 1/35 soldiers to be pointless.

PuRiKaH
02-10-2004, 12:39 PM
How are they pointless? They save you gil when buying troops for the battle. Get all 12 and all the soldiers are free to hire. They obviously have a point. That way you can have a bit more fun with all the troops you want. By the time you reach the battle for the Huge Materia they're not very useful, you have lots of gil. But they're good for the first two assaults. I wasn't refering to the rumour, that's obviously bollocks.

Alright Vivi FF: WHERE are all twelve damn soldiers...do you get the other ten at the roller coaster ride or what? who? when? just TELL ME!

There was a myth i heard that you could duplicate a character if you got all the soliors and ive heard this from like 10 people is this true or no???

PuRiKaH
02-10-2004, 02:54 PM
Arcanine78: Yes. Two in Junon and the rest can be won from the rollercoaster in the Gold Saucer. Don't be so lazy. Read the entire thread before you ask questions that have already been answered.
GothPrinceLaharl: No. There is absolutely no other use for them. Ever. Just free troops in the Fort COndor battles when you have all 12.

Vivi FF

I think you have to get 5000+ points in that rollercoaster mini-game. It's been pretty long since I've done that though so I'm not 100% sure.

Not lazy, just making sure "them" wasn't 3 or 4 soldiers or something...oh and uh 3000 points to win prize..the soldiers...

There are in fact 9 times you can partcipate in the fort Condor Battles:

Items won from the battles (this is the info I set out to find):

Battle Prize When can I fight the nth battle?
--------- -------------- --------------------------------------------
1st Battle: Magic Comb Before fighting Bottomswell in Junon
2nd Battle: Peace Ring After fighting Bottomswell in Junon
3rd Battle: 3 Tinctures * After you get the buggy
4th Battle: Megalixir After beating Cave of the Gi
5th Battle: 5 Potions After getting Tiny Bronco
6th Battle: Superball After Date, before Temple
7th Battle: 3 Turbo Ethers After beating Temple of the Ancients
8th Battle: 3 Turbo Ethers After Aeris dies, before following Sephiroth

* Tinctures are items from FF6. What you really get is 3 Ethers.

Since 1/35 Soldiers were obviously a side quest that got abondoned, I think Square should have just gotten rid of them completely. It would have saved us hours of pointlessly collecting them for meaningless value. There's always been rumours that Aeris' resurrection was abondoned so the game could target it's release date, so these fellers were probably something similar. If the game ever gets a remake, I sure hope that the mystery behind the little men will be revealed.

I never knew that you could do that Fort Condor thing that many times. I only did it twice total in the game and I thought that that was pretty good:D And the abandoned side quest theory, I think that that is wrong and they just did it to fool you into thinking that there was something special (ex. in 8 when you try to get all of the Timber Maniacs)

i heard that if u get all 12 1/35 of a soldier u get zack is that tru?

I doubt it because all of the stuff that people have said that would not be normal (ex. what you said and getting Aeris back) have all turned out to not be true so I don't think that is.

Bahamut ZERO
03-12-2004, 06:20 AM
Rumours and stuff about resurrecting certain characters are just that: Rumours. There is no chance of getting these people back or getting them to join. It's nice to know that there IS a use for those soldiers, but it's a fairly trivial use. By the time you get to the second disk, you have so much money anyway, you can afford to buy as many troops as you damn well please.

So, yeah... Ignore the rumours, chances are, they're miles off. :)

does anyone know what the tissue does or the Sephiroths sword replica thingy does when you win it from the rollercosters ride?

Toastie!
04-12-2004, 08:14 PM
Maybe its because after the battle Cloud or whoever you chose to compete got a dirty face or was sweating and needed the tissue to clean him/her up...........

And maybe the sword is for... is for... um um... ahh stuffed if i know they are just a waste of space..

Oh there also 2 key items i have heard of "Letter to Wife" and "Letter to a Daughter"

Letter To Wife: Aletter to a wife who lives in Kalm
And
Letter to A Duaghter: a letter to a daughter who lives in Kalm.

Can anyone shed some light on these mystery items???????
