Found it on the web. Original file name is Dead.or.Alive.5.OST.MP3.320K-P2P.rar
Tracks were numbered but not labeled so that's the only thing I corrected, otherwise the rip is untouched.

Yeesh, can the music be anymore underwhelming? Maybe I shouldn't have listened to DOA2 and 3's soundtracks before downloading.

You can say anything about the rest of the album but these 4 tracks are good:

01. Urges
06. Rapids
09. Light the Fuse
12. Omen

Overall DOA4 holds as the strongest OST in the series for me so far.

let me see if this is something good or very bad. I have not faith even for the game.

Dead or Alive 2 and 4 are the best music ever done.
There has been a concept on the soundtracks since the first game. Right now, with other composers making the music the suposed concept magic in al...is dead.

I've already heard it in-game. The entire soundtrack save for the Main Menu, Dojo, Lab and the stages with DOA4 music (Alpha-152 & I Feel For You) is fucking garbage.

The Showdown song is hilariously bad, and so is the ending theme. Not even Lotus Juice's majestic rapping can save the soundtrack from being a glorified pile of shit.

The only way the soundtrack can be good is if they do a music DLC deal that allows you to switch to character themes like SSF4 and have the ability to select which themes go with each character. Mila would get Type-XXX from DOA1 and Rig would get Ultimate from DOAU.

what? there is music from doa4 but remaked?

I still remember when I first heard DOA4 soundtrack and guessed who was the theme for each character.
This sucks.
"Urges" is the only track that comes near "DEAD OR ALIVE" sounding music
Those Comical mood tracks kill everything

"The Way is Known ~ Dead or Alive 5 Main Theme", if you dont even think on the title or that this is from a Dead or Alive game, the music is rather good....
I kind a feel that this would be in a Nija Gaiden 4 or an Hollywood movie.
and if "I'm a Fighter" is the ending theme....it is disgusting.

I remember I heard in a rip of the demo 2 songs that could be Hitomi theme, the problem with one was the orchestral strings... the other sounded fine for Hitomi.
I think it was a music played in "Scramble Stage". Somehow it makes me think of Hitomi.

and I was so curious to hear what the Lei fang theme would sound, since it has been definning that character since the first game. Her personality has been evolving even in her music. In DOA4 her theme is very adult and mature.
Makoto Hosoi was really great visionaire in here. Too bad he was not in the game.
I guess T.Itagaki stepped out of Team Ninja, and so Makoto Hosoi did it.

The game is cool. A lot of emphasis on nostalgic things. So much similar to the 3ds engine. A lot of precision and accuracy when it comes to fists and kicks. Each move always matter and comeback are always based on skill and agility. On the other hand, the soundtrack is a very big and a huge disappointment. Up to the point that they are not even noticeable while you are playing the game. Because of the lack of quality. Been also playing DOA 4 just before few days of having my hands on DOA5 and my vote goes for DOA4. It feels more serious than seeing fights on Circus.... Overall, a good game but a very bad music.

I have been hearing the soundtrack at this exct moment. And there is so BAD stuff I can't name more bad names for it.
As I had stated in my DOA Dimensions Project booklet.
The soundtrack from all Dead Or Alive games were composed as an extent of the characters personality. The best example we can use is Lei Fang, she was fragile personality and a kid, and her theme has been evolving acording to her stories in the DOA series. The soundtracks of the games were also in fact telling us more about the characters. People may think it is music just because it is music. But no. Makoto Hosoi had this tremendous and genious idea because in the in game features and videos we don't really see that much of a persons character.
Like I said, T.Itagaki went out of Team Ninja, and so Makoto Hosoi.
DEAD OR ALIVE is DEAD.

After shit OST for NG3 (not to mention the garbage game in general), I had very little hope for this soundtrack. So the shit music continues...
Having the songs match the character... is a a whole fucking point of well, CHARACTER songs. That is gone of course...
DOA 3: Cracker & Perpetual Motion - hell yeah Brad Wong :D
It's time for listening to old DOA OSTs, the new one? Better to forget it. (not a hard thing to do lolololol)

Thank you MiL for uploading.

well... someone should have asked Makoto Hosoi.... something abou the music. Even if he was not there, just giving tips....
I think "Urges" and "The Way is Known ~ Dead or Alive 5 Main Theme" are the only thing I am going to hear more.

BUt I am still waiting for a full rip of the game So I can hear it and be sure how shit it is.

Yes give me hate! More HATE! Heh, it seems like the more people rant on a certain album - the more I want to give it a second chance, and find something to appreciate.

Seriously as a whole the album is weaker then other DOA soundtracks, and yes - there aren't many tracks that sound like DOA music, as well as there aren't any good vocal tracks here that can get anywhere near "I feel for you", as a matter of fact all vocal tracks suck donkey dongz. I'm never going to listen to them again.

What's noticeable is a lack of any real "woop dat ass" tracks that gets a player going. True, the whole thing just seems to be kinda lightweight.
But. But. But. If not thinking of it as DOA album - than it's not that bad. Really. For example I listen to "Polluted Air" again and start liking it. Tracks like that have pretty decent composition and give a sense of dramatical impact that builds up.

As for Ninja Gaiden 3 OST being shit... Come on really!? At least not the whole thing was shit! I'm not going to defend the game, but the OST did have some good mothefukkin block rockin beats. For example "Arachnoid" or "Heavy Machinery" were great battle tracks.

Orie
09-29-2012, 11:49 AM
ho. this is not hate about the sharer. It is more how they worked tehsoundtrack naming it Dead or Alive.

Ninja gaiden 3 was not that good. But Some tracks stand out, "Heavy Machinery" is in fact one like the most.

good mothefukkin block rockin beats
:D

I have been listening it (DOA5 music) notthiking it is DOA at all. There is very little I like. I really want a game rip, because of that song, which I think it was the "Scramble Stage", at least that is the name I came up with, I really really like that song. And since this is a bad cd, and I have a love for that track, I am expecting that this is a very bad choosen tracks for a cd, and we have some really good and better tracks then this.

and like you said, there is a lack of "woop dat ass" tracks that gets a player going. (why would you wanna woop dat ass? for pervert things?? XD :p ) I did not feel in any.... just... I feel it a bit in the track I already named that I like.

I know, I know, of course I didn't mean mean literally "give ME hate!" It's just an expression :)

Ninja gaiden 3 was not that good. But Some tracks stand out, "Heavy Machinery" is in fact one like the most.
Towards the end of NG3 OST the tracks become kinda bland and just make you wanna fall asleep, but there are some good ones. Not many, but a few is enough, at least for me, not to consider it shit. Let's just call it a pinky doo-doo.

The gamerip. I did try to look into it, but the files are a real clusterfuck. It's pretty difficult to figure what is what. No indication what is music files, what is graphic or models... But since there's a good progression about DOA5 file format going on at xentax (http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9685), the gamerip should show up soon enough.

And yes, I like to "woop dat ass" for perverted things, but can you blame me?
Cmon who wouldn't want to do perverted things with one of DOA chicks' asses? :p

I am afraid now. What the hell did they do to myfavorite track of DOA4 " I Feel For You"?

Nothing, thankfully. You just hear the original version from DOA4 in the wrestling ring stage. Alpha-152's theme plays in the elevator stage (that's where you fight her in Story Mode).

Oh yeah and there are a few classic songs that make a reappearance in the story mode. Off the top of my head:

-Shade plays for Kasumi vs. Ayane in Kasumi's chapter
-Monster is heard when Christie appears for the first time in Rig's chapter
-Serpent Dance plays for one of the Christie battles
-Purity plays for Hayate vs. Kasumi in Hayate's chapter
-Knifepoint plays for Hayate vs. Bayman in Hayate's chapter
-Moonlit Lady plays for Helena vs. Kokoro in Helena's chapter
-Trip plays for Rig vs. Jann Lee in Rig's chapter
-Mentor plays when Gen Fu appears at the end of Eliot's chapter
-Tribal Beats plays somewhere, I believe in the beginning of Bass's chapter on one of the commercials.

... Is it just me or is it alot of the game's music that's missing from the soundtrack? Cause I can swear I hear different themes for each part of most stages as well... Themes that I think sound really good...

... So where does one request soundrips from the games themselves? :P

as I can see from the tracklist (http://vgmdb.net/album/37801) only the first 2 tracks are new (think) the rest is DOA 4 and 3 theme tracks.
I suspect that in this Vol.3 (http://vgmdb.net/album/40031) we might have the DOA2 themes that were remade in DOA Dimensions. I am still in high hopes that some of the tunes from DOAD can be checked in one of those

Like I said above. Will those be DOA2 original themes or the DOADimensions new arranges? tracks 18 to 21 are from DOA3. Themes of Christie, Hayate, Kasumi.... "trip" I think it's brad wong... 0.o
I actually hoping they would release Kasumi Alpha theme :/

I've just found a 192KBPS Vol 3. Rip on another forum (am I able to post a link to the site?) and I am pretty certain that it is the DOA2 version of the track.

Anyways, here goes a 192kbps link, in Media Fire fashion: Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Soundtrack.rar (http://www.mediafire.com/download/x2li7w02lxd5csj/Dead_or_Alive_5_Ultimate_Soundtrack.rar)

Notice that it is NOT my work, please.

I think Trip is Jann Lee's, I could be wrong though. Brad's are Perpetual Motion [for ending cinematic] (btw my favorite DOA3 track) and Cracker [for the gameplay].

Anyway, using much of the old music is still better than those new disastrous compositions from DOA5 OST 1.

Night Terror
09-09-2013, 07:19 PM
Looking at the game's music menu, cooljacker's right. Cracker is Brad's theme, Trip is Jann Lee's :)

Orie
09-09-2013, 08:54 PM
yeah... cracker.... DOA2 and DOA4 are the most ... BREAK THE FLOOR Soundtrack. I mean... the best soundtracks. XD

EDIT:
oh yeah. Both DOADimensions and DOA5 have tracks from the original DOA games (PSX and Saturn versions)
Superstar is Bass theme in the PSX version of DOA. And yeah the DOA2 tracks are the same?... why?
I would expect them not to release the DOA2 and 3 tracks, because they were already released, so they could make room for more of the DOA5 music.
I heard this vol3, and I did like the new music. (Tracks 01 to 06). I could almost draw a picture of which character the tracks could be themed for. :p

Night Terror
09-10-2013, 11:23 AM
That's a good thing to wonder about: Why they don't release the tracks Scream and Graceful Sounds AKA The Bottom Skyscrpaer Stage and the Sakura stage?

Orie
09-10-2013, 12:18 PM
It would be expected they would focus on the new compositions of the game.
After I heard the rip of the game, I like a lot some tracks, I dislike a lot other tracks. Vol1 of the soundtrack was juts a bad choice of music compilation.
Vol2... has only 2 tracks of doa5 and rest is all from DOA4.... I stand my point, in why they release music that was already release?

cooljacker
09-10-2013, 03:30 PM
Maybe these dudes plan yet another version for ps4/xbone? ...if it already wasn't enough I mean xD
I know it sounds crazy, but who knows... And they can release the rest of new music then?

Still don't get it why they fill the space with so many old tracks.
