Anyone know if an expanded score will ever be released? Only about half of the cues made it onto the official release, leaving out most of the better cues. Meh. :(

given that I just looked on itunes I don't think that would happen anytime msoon... i don't understand why people are disliking the movie, its epic and that Ada Wong girl *drools*

"Flying through the Air" took me by surprise, since it is "Which one is the Flesh?" from the Doctor Who Season 6 soundtrack.
Who got it from who?

OT: Would there be somewhere a version of the original RE movie's score my Marilyn Manson? It is insanely creepy in the quieter parts.

I think "Flying Through the Air" is amazing. It's some of their best work. It's sad and thrilling at the same time.

i like "flying through the air" too and the bonus track which is just like the "alternate" version of sort to "zombies under ice". to me it's by far their best effort in their series (excluding the first 3which is not their music of course).

You mean the 3 scores for the first three RE installments? I agree. The first score was great, the second one was terrible. The third was also great, but no where near the first score. Of those three, the first one is the best (obviously), and the main theme is effin awesome.

The you get to Tomandandy. Their score for Afterlife is amazing and it has a lot of memorable themes. The Retribution score was also amazing, but not really as great as the one for Afterlife. Their best tracks are "Flying Through the Air", "Tokyo", and "AxeMan" (the last to of which they reprised for Retribution).

I hope Tomandandy remix the original Resident Evil theme for the final installment in the series.

yes i love the beltrami/manson/manthei scores of the first film. the second one by danna/cmiral ~ i do actually like them as well. the third one by clouser is okay for me. i really wasn't a huge fan of the frst tomandandy effort in their addition to the franchise but it does have some catchy cues but i would have preferred it had it been mixed with orchestral elements because as a stand alone music it's basically just loud noises for me. but on their most recent effort it's a step up not too much but it's better imo.

You must be an orchestral kind of person then. I'll take a score however it is. ;)

I didn't find any memorable stuff in the Apocalypse score, and the only reason why I liked the Extinction score was because of the catchy theme (which I remember as "Alice Ride").

I really wish the scores after the first RE kept some part of the original theme.

you bet i am., but i do listen and enjoy other kinds of score "well not the jazzy" type but even electronic/orchestral type score (i.es. the ones being done from before by jerry goldsmith, brad fiedel, alan silvestri, jay chattaway, the early zimmer works...) i listen to ambient type of score from horror films as well. i think there's one catchy theme from apocalypse but i can't recall at the moment, lol. yes Alice Ride i like that too.

i wish they did some sort of reference to the first film scores too to have some continuity but that may have been the call made by the producers at the time we wouldn't know...
