Unfortunately this score never was released ...there is only a bootleg which was taken directley from the movie and it is riddien with sfx.....very disturbing and at an extremley bad quality.....only the End Credits were re-recorded for the Tadlow CD of Lawrence of Arabia.....as I also heared (don't know if this is true) there were rumours that the original tapes with this score don't exist anymore as Maurice Jarre himself destroyed them as he said that this score was too bad to be published (correct me please if this isn't true-----errors maybe possible)......Further the movie is one of the weakest movies directed and acted by Clint Eastwood...

Ah, but she was a purty purty plane. And style wise, not too far from what would come later in real life...

Well it was a good spy movie at that time, but the rumors are so unbelievable, will see what happens. I already record the end credit as an mp3 from You Tube.

Just saw this on TV recently. Last time I saw it was in the theaters. I though it held up pretty good.

I have got a 1/24 scale down Firefox at my place, 3 foot long, she's a beauty

I'd like a small version for my collection. She'd go nice with the Eagle, and Nautilus, and Seaview (3 footer). I just saw this recently also, and while not greatness, it was still watchable. Typical cold war fare. Oddly, I thought there was more actual Firefox combat than there was...

The guy who send me the Garage kit is from UK, he has a smaller version, but I'm not sure if he retired.

I've been looking for this one for decades, anyone has a clue?

I just tried this last week to rip the audio tracks from the DVD, and found a VERY unsettling fact! Apparently, 20th century fox decided to take the 2.1 tracks, and just replicate them into the 6.1 channel sound on the latest release of "Firefox"!!! The tracks on ALL of the channels are EXACTLY the same. They didn't want to take the time to redo the audio for the newest DVD release, just slammed the front two channels into all the others. Even the center channel has all the talking, music and sound effects. That is the reason that the only music that anyone ever tried to pull, has all the sound effects on it! apparently, whoever did it, tried to use one of those "karaoke" programs, since it is in mono, and you can hear voices echoing in the background, without hearing the actual dialogue! That's my best guess on that. I just hope that the execs at the studio pull their heads out of their asses long enough to redo the audio for the Blu-ray release, whenever (or if) that will ever be!

Just amazing, this studio system today!

I have ALWAYS said, when they came out with 5.1 surround sound, that the studios should have followed the directions that the creators of that system came up with:

Center speaker should be dialogue only, unless the front left and right channels have people talking in them, over the sound effects.

Front speakers should be sound effects only, unless there is dialogue between two people talking from the left and right of the screen.

Rear speakers should be MUSIC ONLY!!! NO dialogue, no sound effects!

Believe it or not, there are a couple of productions that have done the film this way! With exception of the center speaker which jams the other 4 channels into one mono channel with dialogue, sound effects and music combined, so that people with an old single speaker tube television can play the movie and hear everything! This should be on the 6th channel, with the 5th channel being dialogue only

That is just my humble opinion, as an expert in the movie biz, I feel that it should have been done this way, from the beginning!
