Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to LEGO Island.
REBORN

Here is all the music from the 1997 PC game LEGO Island (FOR REAL THIS TIME). The album is currently in its SECOND release.
After the discovery of the LEGO Island Music Extractor (a Python program) lossless versions of many of the tracks were obtained. HOWEVER only 67.5% of the soundtrack is in this form (better than the 0% of the first time) , so a third release shall come eventually.
Credits: 83% 21% of the music, all L.E.G.O. Radio and some of the art ripped/recorded by user spyfoxguy. The two Polkacide tracks were sent by Ward Abronski of Polkacide.
Format: 68.8% FLAC, 14.9% MP3, 16.3% M4A. Avg. bitrate 166 kbs (!), FREQUENCY 11025 Hz (57.9%); 44100 Hz (31.2%); 22050 Hz (10.9%).
Length: 47 tracks, running time 1:16:27 (76:35)
Five of the tracks come from albums by The Torpedoes. Ripped by spyfoxguy. I also got the in-game versions of two. Two tracks are by Polkacide (NEVER BEEN UPLOADED), thanks to Ward Abronski from Polkacide. There is also at least one track that has not been heard by anyone on Earth except for the game devs (and anyone who used LIME).
Album art created by me, using resources created by LEGO, Mindscape, and others.

Issues:
*Mama's Piano Riff has a lot of static noise. This is because I imported the raw .SI file into audacity. When a proper extractor is developed, I will fix this.
*Lossy files. Once again, if a proper extractor is made FINISHED I'll redo this in lossless (but it's 11025 Hz anyway)
*The file types are inconsistent. Some are M4A and MP3, most are MP3 FLAC. If this is an issue tell me and I'll fix it.

Thanks:
spyfoxguy for ripping the foundations of this of this
Ward Abronski for the Polkacide music
All the musicians who worked on this game
Everyone who made this game
You for listening

anything by Polkacide, I don't know what albums they've made
Please let me know. Thank you.

You are most welcome :)

If it's the soundtrack I'm thinking of, I used it as the foundation for my soundtrack (83% of it in fact), it was missing a few minor tunes and two major tunes that no one even knew about. As for the other tracks, I'm guessing it's L.E.G.O. Radio? It's included here too. And I'm glad you loved this game.

I managed to get a lossless extraction! And man, I'm STILL missing stuff! I'll try to compile something new for everyone

Lossless? Oh wow, I must have this! :) But it's probably as lossless as it gets with these audiofiles that werent exactly lossless to begin with, right?

Thanks a bunch for this. I really, really love Lego Island. I just wish they would do a remake or something like that of it, or at least re-release it (if they haven't done so already.)

No, these are MP3 recordings. The in-game music is WAV. Only 11025-22050 Hz, but still lossless.
There's even an unused track in there!
But the tool (which some other fellows on another site I'm on found) only extracts JUKEBOX.SI, so I still need the vehicle build music and such. Also I don't have lossless versions of the album music by Torpedoes and Polkacide.

I think Traveller's Tales has re-released it as recent as sometime after 2005, but I'm not sure.

I don't know if I'm allowed to bump this or if I should make a new topic (if I did wrong let me know), but I've made an update at long last! Now the 42-track collection of masterpieces is 47 tracks long! ENJOY!

Oh man, I was looking for this thread since my computer crashed but now it has 47 tracks? So much goodness.

Edit: So wait, is the soundtrack a mix of Flac and mp3? Because I read for some odd reason i thought it was Flac and mp3 in the same file but the whole soundtrack for them both.

The FLAC tracks are the ones extracted from the game using LEGO Island Music Extractor. It only works for JUKEBOX.SI, so the MP3 files are of the in-game music not in that SI file. Honestly, I think the in-game recordings sound better (it's probably processed by the game, since the WAVs are 11025 Hz), so I might do a huge overhaul of this in the future. Hopefully, the guy who developed LIME will finish it so I can have a full copy of both the in-game music and recorded. For now, though, it's a huge mess.

I have a lot more LEGO soundtracks i need to post too.

I thank you sooo much this is the best compilation of the soundtrack I've seen.

This game was awesome as a kid for back when PC gaming was new for children. There was soo much to
do in this game and it had a cool story, something so innocent and morally adequate. Also true single
player experience no wifi was needed to make it better it was perfect. Me & my sister took turns playing this game, I miss those moments.

I still remember the race track, finding blackbeard in the cave, the annoying whistling pieces and the HUMOR.
It was chock full of funny phrases and events the lego minifigures did. Almost everything was interactive!

Thanks for uour rip albeit its not the best quality due to source (It was on CD 700mb limit possibly for this reason), but imo it preserves the memory better as i the same quality I played. I hope you can finish the rip, a heavy task no doubt. I'll be subscribing to this thread for progress.

Thanks Again!
