Hello
I am on my 2nd trip through FFX-2
I am in chapter 5
I got an episode complete in every area (except bevelle is still a hot spot)
Zanarkand was NOT my last Episode complete.
I did not get the Mascot Dress Sphere.
Anyone know what's up?

Re-check every place on the list and when you press X and Buddy explains whatever is going on, check to see that it says Episode Complete, and not Episode Concluded. Also, did you talk to Issaru at Bevelle yet? If not, then that's your problem.

Everything is complete, nothing is concluded.
However, I did not know Issaru was at Bevelle, that could be my problem. Where is he at? I can't believe I missed him.

Thanks a ton!

--Edit--
In fact, Issaru is still lamenting in Zanarkand with the monkeys.
I did, however, speak to Maroda in Bevelle
I loaded up my first game, and Issaru did return to Bevelle. I have no idea what I did wrong.

I assume it's not fixable at this point?

It's not fixable. In order to get an Episode Complete in Bevelle, you must complete the monkey mission (I think) and speak with Isaaru on the CommSpheres in Chapter 4 until he says he's returning to Bevelle. (definitely) And some guides say that for Mascot, you must get Episode Complete in all areas except Bevelle, but that's a lie. You have to get Bevelle too.

As for finding Isaaru, if you meet the qualifications, he will be there automatically when you talk to Maroda and you get Episode Complete. If he's not there and you don't get "Episode Complete" tag/music + returned to airship, then you've only got concluded and it's not fixable without New Game Plus (which also requires Episode Completing every section again in the New Game Plus.)

This is one game where it really helps to have a backup savefile, or backup savefiles.

I agree with you on the backup file!

I actually did get episode complete just for talking to Maroda, which is why this caught me off guard. It was not just mission concluded.

My strat guide does indeed say you don't need a mission complete in Bevelle. We'll call that just one of several flaws!

I think I'll do the Bevelle cloisters then call it a game. I doubt I'll go through a thrid time for Mascot, as fun as that DS might be.

Thanks for the help, all!

It's "Episode" Complete that you need, not Mission Complete. And you do get it just for talking to Maroda, but Isaaru has to be there too.

But perhaps you are missing Episode Complete somewhere else? Did you get Episode Complete for O'aka mission and Clasko chocobos? Also, go into your airship menu, do all sections say "Episode Complete" when you select a location, or are there any that say "Episode Concluded?" The only exception is Bevelle because if you initiate the Via Infinito, then I think the status changes to "Mission," but it applies for all other sections.

Everything is complete except Bevelle.
It must simply be that Issaru is missing from Bevelle.
I'm suprised the guide didn't point that out more carefully.
In fact, the guide says:

"If you gave the sphere to New Yeavon during Chapter 2, it's important that you speak to Issaru at Zanarkand before heading to Bevelle..."

I was joined with the Youth League, but regardless I spoke to Issaru first. I must not have gone far enough with his Comsphere in the prior chapter.

I enjoyed this game very much, however I think many of the quests were dubiously hidden so that a Strat guide is needed to really get a lot out of the game. Just my personal opinion, I loved the game overall, though!

Yeah, I think 90% of the time that people don't get Episode Complete in Bevelle, it's because of the CommSpheres. You have to call it up in Phase 3 I think and talk to Isaaru until he stops. Then, you have to call it up at least one more time and talk to him and it takes a while for him to show up. Yuna should mention how things are in Bevelle and he says that he's going to go check in it. Oh, and some guides claim that you can only get Episode Complete in Bevelle if you give the sphere to New Yevon, but obviously that's another stupid lie, since you need Episode Complete in every section in order to get 100% in one game and in order to get 100% in one game, you have to give the sphere to the Youth League.

Thanks very much for clearing that up, and for all your help Agent0042 and Vivi FF.

*Curses to Issaru!*
