Based on the very successful and award winning book by A.S. Byatt, this dual story of modern day scholars tracking down the lives of two Victorian Poets through secret letters and vague journal references. Discovering That Randolph Henry Ash & Christabel La Motte did indeed fall in love via the written word. I loved this movie. I disliked the book. Strangely enough, the modern day scholars and their travails and passions are eclipsed by the Victorian Poets played by Jeremy Northam and the gorgeous Jennifer Ehle. This is my my favorite Yared score for so many reasons.

The order of the tracks are not chronological to the tale.

Rent this film and bask in the days when language AND LETTERS were paramount... compared to the world today of terse emails and quixotic texting.

Included is Loreena McKennitt's music for the trailer.
