What do you think are the best dress spheres to use in general, other then the speical ones. I haven't obtained these yet but when i do i think ill be using these three

Yuna: Gunner or Gun Mage
Rikku: Alchemist
Paine: Dark Knight (think thats what it's called.) or samarai

I'm curious about other's combinations.

I like using all Lady Lucks. Good for EXP., espeically when I start my new game plus. Plus all Trainers is pretty fun as well.

Yuna: Gunner (Alchemist in difficult battles)
Rikku: Lady Luck (Dark Knight in difficult battles)
Paine: Dark Knight

Another idea is if you can get two Lady Lucks and then a Thief with a Key to Success, you can steal items and still get the full benefit as if you had three Lady Lucks.

I just reilized that i should find a way to fit theif in for stealing. Is there an item that allows you to use Thief abilitys in other dress spheres? Similar to Bushido Lore, wich alows you to use Samarai abilities in the ssame way.

I don't think there's any. There are ways to get around it like Rikku's Trainer Ghiki thievery abilities. Really, though, it is called "spherechange" for a reason. Try it.

I've got this game on pre-order for its europe release this month.

I've been going through the lists of dress sphere's in the game. and I'm wracking my brain trying to decide which characters should get what.

I've already decided that:

Yuna gets the: Gunner, Gun Mage, and White Mage
Rikku gets the: Thief, Alchemist, and Black Mage
and Paine gets the: Soldier, Dark Knight, and the Mascot.

but i still need a little asistance sorting out the rest to give each character a mix of Sword and Sorcery.

can anybody give me any recomendations.

It isnt about which Dress Sphere looks the best. its about what combonation of dress Sphere's will get, Yuna, Rikku, and Paine through the game.

and for me i think they'd get through with

Ive gone through the game twice and can't find the Dark Knight sphere.
And this is the first ive heard of Lady luck and mascot spheres.
What/Where are they?

Dark Knight - It's in the Bevelle underground. Do you by any chance remember a treasure chest you just couldn't seem to get to on the path leading up to Baralai? That's it - it's in there. Getting to that chest involves messing around with a series of platforms and pillars. You can find the steps needed to do it in one of the guides at GameFAQs, I'm not so good at describing it myself.

Lady Luck - You get for doing what we've been discussing in the other thread, you know what I'm talking about.

Mascot - Within a single playthrough, you have to get Episode Complete in every section.

I end my 100% game completion with Yuna as a catnipped master gunner in yellow, Rikku in mastered berserker and Paine in mastered dark knight with ragnarok for the darkness casting cost:), but I think there should another way for the good dark knight

I gave the iron duke to Rikku, I don't know to whom must I give it:)
