When I first started working on this, I was listening to Gosick and thought that I should really collect the most amazing slow, emotional tracks together in one compilation. This doesn't cover most of the soundtracks I have from 2004 to present and perhaps at some point I will work on a volume 2.

I found that some soundtracks were best represented by including multiple tracks, as you see with Fafner, Ultrama Gaia, and Sahashi's Rayearth music. I tried my best to make this a cohesive listening experience that had a single feeling behind it and I think I have succeeded. I gave it a listen once I re-arranged the tracks to make sure it flowed nicely and I was satisfied.

Even if you have all of these soundtracks in your collection, I suggest that you give it a chance and download it to see how it works for you.

The fix is necessary because the track from perfume in the FLAC version is wrong and tracks 24-28 are out of order in the flac version above. So while I am getting my second volume of the Loveliness, Elegance, and Nobility prepared I thought I'd see if anyone here has any suggestions for improvement based on how the first one was, or just any general comments. Any feedback from those who downloaded it?

I like all three volumes so far. First and third ones being a step higher than the second, which in my opinion, had too many pieces from the same show one after the other. We seem to share the same music taste (calm and soothing), so it's easy for me to enjoy your collections. Besides, it's thanks to you that I discovered some new tracks/series that I wasn't aware of before (Nabari no Ou, Noein, Gundam and Le Chevalier D'eon come to mind), so thanks for that!

Looking forward to the eventual release of Vol.4. :)

Feedback: I am impressed with your choices. Wonderful fit together. Amazingly outstanding !

All mp3s, they vary in quality, but most are 320kbps or vbr v-0. I used what I had for these.

I MAY do a volume 4 but I don't think I can do it with anime music after these three (I got most of the good stuff in here), but I may do some video game music if I do volume 4. You aren't the only one to comment about the repetition in volume 2. I found that it was necessary for certain scores because I liked the music so much but the rest of the soundtrack not so much, so I wanted to get the good tracks together.

That's alright, I've still enjoyed the second volume regardless of its repetitiveness. Just wanted to point out that little thing.

I'm totally fine with a video game collection, because I listen to a lot of game's music as well. ;)

How could I not discover this thread sooner? Shame on me... Since the stars just aligned and got me a stable internet connection, I will grab them all and thank you veeery much, Sirusjr :) I do indeed already have many, if not most, of these OSTs, but a compilation by you will surely bring one or another gem that I wasn't aware of to the surface. So thank you again while I wait for the listening joy that is about to come :)

edit: Sooo, now after a few days of listening to this AWESOME compilations- oh, wait, I just gave away the final verdict XD But anyways, I’m LOVING it. Many of the titles are already in my collection, but having them grouped together makes for such an amazing listening experience. Thank you again, Sirusjr, for doing work we all are benefitting from!

This could be in fact a ‘Best-Of-Anime-Music’-collection of newer times, even though the majority is slower, emotional stuff(exactly what I prefer!). I think it’s well arranged, and it unearthed indeed hidden gems that I was unaware of. For example, I didn’t know about the composer Tsuneyoshi Saito and his music, but now I do. What could have been a bit more present is the work of Hitoshi Sakimoto, from whom there are only three tracks. From his specific OSTs I would have included several more, but this is just my humble opinion, since he is my favorite composer :)

Especially remarkable were for me the tracks by Yuki Kajiura, which you picked wonderful, since she seems (at least to me) for the most part to have a rather melancholic style that puts me usually in a gloomy mood, other than this great compilations. But as another future suggestion, in case you’re doing a volume part 4, her work from the Historia-soundtrack, even though it’s technically not from an anime, would be a great and fitting addition, I think.

Anyways, thanks again for this wonderful work, it will certainly be a surefire part of my daily listening for time to come.

I did a similar collection called "Relaxation" of music from JDrama, KDrama and Anime and a couple from non-related sources. 12-disc volume. Great minds think alike. ;-)

Absolutely brilliant! Huge fan of this type of music, and I am always glad when I come across compilations like this as they are perfect for getting acquainted with new composers.

Not sure if they'd sit nicely next to your selection for cues, but I'd like to recommend tracks from Chihayafuru (by Kousuke Yamashita) for the next volume, particularly the amazing Main Theme and its piano variation. "My Dear, What is Your Name?" from Aquarion EVOL by Yoko Kanno is also great.

I could have sworn I had put some Chihayafuru in there, but somehow I didn't. I agree, great music. I didn't put any Aquarion EVOL because it is largely recycled from Aquarion and I got some music from it on there. I'm glad you appreciate these because they were a lot of fun to make.

I don't know what this error is, but I would try another browser. It should show you the mirrorcreator site and links to the hosts it is on. I would try gamefront in volume 2.

I actually enjoyed the first volume a lot. I'm currently listening the second volume, and it's good, just not as great as the first volume as the others have pointed out; but aside from that, I can't wait to hear the third volume. I hope you have a few good pieces in mind for the forth volume. :)

I tried working on a fourth volume using game music and found that it just wasn't going to be very good. So if I do a fourth volume later it will be from film music.

I'm glad you like them so far though :D I think the film music versions might actually blow these away once I finally get to it.

I think that could work. But a forth volume on film music is great substitute in leu of good game music and thank you again for the previous three volumes! :)

... :P. Just kidding, i enjoyey a lot the first and second volumes (the third one i dont want to lie, i havent listened like the other two ones so i need more time to listen to it U^^. You know im lazy, haha) and i hope the fourth one will be awesome too.

�Do you want new ideas for the 5th one? I would love an only Tokusatsu like Sentai, Kamen Rider, etc. volume, would be superb!

Oh I have plenty for many more volumes in all my film music. The hard part is finding the right stuff to include. Thankfully i've found quite a few shortcuts for the tagging part and so the annoying part is much faster than before. But like Arthierr says, best not to blow your load all at once, so I will slowly work on the next volume and see how it goes. I hope I have enough lossless stuff for volume 5 to also be in lossless.

I uploaded a fix. I was notified of some problems with the lossless pack.

Volume 5 has been posted now :) There shouldn't be any similar problems with the lossless because I made lossless first and converted to mp3 from that this time. Enjoy!
