MY FATHER THE HERO (unreleased score by David Newman) (Lossless) (FLAC)

My Father the Hero was a 1994 remake of a popular French film with Katherine Heigel as a teen on vacation in the Bahamas trying to appear more grown-up to an older admirer by pretending her dad (beefy Gerard Depardieux---reprising his role from the French version) is her lover. Newman's score is upbeat and sunny. The ballads feature a wordless vocal and a few funky reggae numbers remind us we're in the Caribbean.

23 untitled tracks (some real short!) totaling about 27 minutes.
Good (not great) stereo sound with tape hiss. But no dialog or sfx.
Tau and EAC indicated all tracks on the disc to be lossless.
Ripped to FLAC using XLD.
NOTE: These same tracks were also released on DNCD# 003LR. To my ears they sound exactly the same, so they either both used the same source or one is a copy of the other.

The first track goes 3:06 or 3:08 minutes on both yepsa's version and mine.

Peeje is deleting a lot of files, which is why I always offer an alternative link too, in case that happens. Any unzipping program should be able to unzip the 7z file. For the PC a program called 7-zip is free. On the MAC, Stuffit Expander is free. I don't use winrar so others here will have to provide input. Let us know if you are still having trouble.

The audio files are gathered into a folder that has to be unzipped to get to them. On the PC I use 7-zip which is not only free, but one of the best. On the MAC I use StuffitExpander (also free). You will need one of these programs for most files you download anywhere.
In order to retain their high quality, the individual audio tracks are in FLAC format. Unfortunately, FLAC files usually need to be converted to something else for use on an iPod etc. If you want to retain the high quality, you'd be converting to WAV (on PC) or AIFF (on MAC). The downside of a high quality file is that it is usually a big file. If you want a smaller file size then you can convert to something like Mp3. The downside is that along with the smaller file size the audio quality has also been reduced.
For converting I use XLD on the MAC. I do not use a PC so cannot recommend a file converter for the PC, but you can surely find a free one online.
