Okay I just found this by searching the internet trying to find out if Seifer had a Theme Song, I mean I havn't played 8 in a long while, but I just wanted to know if anyone ever heard about rumors that there was gonna be a sequal to 8 called, "Final Fantasy 8 Gaiden" or something like that. Here's a link to the video... I mean it looks pretty good, and honestly I don't remember any of this from the actual game.

I don't know... just let me know your opinions on this... I mean it does kinda look old, so I wouldn't doubt it was doctured, but I mean it woulda been kinda kool if you ask me...

I have ALOT of doubts after seeing this video. I have a small 3rd party program (which allows you to hack into your save games and alter just about ANYTHING). One of the included options was to change your skins. So you could make yourself look like Edea, or Seifer or whom ever you wanted.

Also the fact that the graphics are EXACTLY the same has me doubting.

The music is simple, play a battle without music, and later add the music of your choice. You will hear a small pause between the monsters dying and the victory tune.

I have TONS of doubts about this one.

well i can easily do something like this also if i had the time... but even if it wasn't who knows how old it was.... maybe it was directly after 8.... I mean if was just recent wouldn't it look more like x-2 or something?

I don't think that they will make ff8-2. after reafing what Neo Xzhan said, I think it is just a hoax. Don't believe it

Plus i doubt they would make 8-2 imean the way they ended it u cant make a sequal to that but i would love to see that if they did make it.

well it didn't even have to be a sequal... i mean it was listed as Final Fantasy 8 Gaiden..., not 8-2, it coulda been pretty much the same game through Seifer's eyes... I mean if you think about it, he was never really the bad guy.

Actually 8 could have a sequel but it'd be very similiar to the first one being that Rinoa, Elly, and Edea are all still alive they could easily get possesed by another sorceres from some other time. Starting the whole cycle again.

Which would be -very- lame and unoriginal.

FF8-2 would be great - FF8 is such a great game.

It owuld have to be a new story I think, like a new adventure or challenge for the forces of SeeD. It wouldn't be good if they changed the characters much.

I honestly think that it would be better if it were a prequal instead... play through as Laguna, Kiros, and Ward.... plus have a few new characters, maybe even a moomba in your party. I don't think the story line would be that much different since what happened back then was the same as 8, but with Adel instead of Ultimecia... but then again, it could go even deeper.

This has to be the biggest crap I've ever heard about ff8 now x_X

there wouldnt be any point in a sequel, prequel, or anything else involving 8 in that manner. the story was finished. theres nothing left to dig in to.

they should just make a ff game about all the FF's in one and get it over with

and how would that work? There'd be too much to fit in, and it'd make no sense.

I think a sequel to ff8 would be crap. just look at X-2..they jacked it all to hell...they just need to bring ff8 to the ps2 for some pimp graphics...:D

Well, first off FFX-2 has virtually the same graphics as they basically kinda recycled a lot of the mechanics, so thats another possibility.

Second, even in FF8, there isn't there a small pause between battle music and the victory theme, a little one?

None the less, I have a hard time believing it. Whats the source of this movie exactly?

I also heard that it was an April Fool's joke also, but I don't believe that it was FFOnline cuz I've been going there for years... I heard it was from some other FFsite, like FFWorld or something, I don't quite remember what I heard? Also if you notice, it skips between each players turn, and it doesn't show how they kill all the tonberries at the end...

people have claimed it originated at Final Fantasy: World's Apart, if that's what you mean, and no, it didn't come from there.

Gandalf: the version I saw (same footage, but a watermark scene before the footage) had an FFO watermark. that wouldn't at all be hard to remove, and I'm guessing whoever's distributing it now did just that.

ABSOLUTLY NOT!! That game didn't sell good enough for a second game... therefore there won't be one =P
