Sparky, it looks like you're a fan of this one. I loved Bates' score for both the Dawn of the Dead and Halloween remakes, but Dawn of the Dead best. I saw this movie about 3 years ago (and I will say it was messed up, but I've yet to see House of 1,000 Corpses), but don't remember the score particularly too well. All I can remember is Lynyrd Skynyrd's awful "Freebird" at the end. Does this sound similar at all to Dawn of the Dead or Halloween?

For me, Bates's best score is The Way. Lyrical, emotional and warm.

Closwer to Halloween than DotD. The soundscape really picks up and builds quite a bit tension.

Remember that Bates said that Zombie wanted a really fucked up score, and he couldn't sleep for days after finishing this one.

Did not know that bit. :bearclap: I love these sorts of scores where it's mostly atmosphere and soundscapes.
Really eerie. Sleep stuff for me :awsm: But that's just me. Is it only me? :erm:

All I can remember is Lynyrd Skynyrd's awful "Freebird" at the end.

So what would have been a better Lynyrd Skynyrd song in it's place?

1.Gimme Three Steps
2.Call Me The Breeze
3.On The Hunt

The only part I like is the end, the part that can be heard in Forrest Gump when Jenny is gonna jump off the balcony

None. I hate Lynyrd Skynyrd. It's redneck music. I'm in the northeast, I don't listen to that kinda music. They're just too much for me. But to each his own. If you guys like Skynyrd, then that's cool

LOL, then I guess you won't be seeing them perform in Wallingford,CT next month then. There must be at least a few people from the Northeast that like them because they always play dates up there.

You're DAMN right lol. I'll be seeing Def Leppard, Poison and Lita Ford together next month, KISS and Mtley Cre together in September, and Journey as well

The link still works.
Thank you very much, my friend.

As for Lynyrd Skynyrd:
I always enjoy listening to "On The Hunt".
Rhythm guitar and lead guitar: Just perfect!
The guitar riffs are exemplary.
What can I say for the slides, bends
and palm mutes? Excellent!
