The soundtracks for Episode 1 and 2 of Sonic 4 were released on iTunes today. I would upload it myself but I can't get it from iTunes as I am broke and I have no iPod or iPad to "jailbreak" so do any of you guys plan on uploading it? Because some people need it!

Requests subforum?

Anyway there are rips of both episodes which offer nothing less than what iTunes sells.

yeah... plus stage themes that have real endings like the Generations Big Arm soundtrack.

I'm referring to Sonic 4 Episode 1 & 2 releases, which have music encoded as .adx and when ripped, none of the songs have any mixing with sound effects.

um... yes they do. The cutscenes in episode 2 have to sfx built into the adx files I know because I still have the adx files.

I have some good news: I have an iTunes account.
I'll get the soundtracks and upload them, if anyone wants.

Should I upload them in the default M4A/AAC format that iTunes uses?

AAC or 320kps Mp3 I guess... It depends on what people want.
Thanks in advance...

I've ripped episode 1 only, and all was clean so I assumed it's the same for ep 2. Thanks for clearing it up.

I have iTunes plus or whatever it's called, and I have it so that any purchases are automatically 256 kbps AAC (the default is 128 kbps AAC).

Converting from 256 kbps AAC to 320 kbps MP3 is pointless, and just takes up more space.

You can nicely upload original aac files and people can convert to whatever they would like, they can do as much, converting is no quantum physics xD

True so True... aac then!

Dude AAC will be fine, I am not bothered as long I can listen to them :D

Unless AAC can be converted via Audacity, I'd rather have 320 kbps MP3.

AAC (which is better quality for a lower bitrate than MP3, yet less common) can be converted to MP3, but since the quality of a 256 kbps AAC is better than a 320 kbps MP3, it'd be pointless.

Anyway, AAC doesn't exactly need any special plugins, AFAIK.

iTunes and Winamp can play AAC files, which uses mp4, m4a, aac, and 3gp among other things as a file extension, and foobar2000 should be able to. I'm not sure about WMP, but then, who uses that now?

*Raises hand* I'm probably one of the few left alive who prefers to organize my music by file and folder structure rather than a resource hogging album browser. :P Also I'm not entirely certain that an Android music player can run AAC but if not, I can easily convert the songs so I'm not complaining. :)

I'll echo the notion of just upping it in the original format and letting the people do what they will with it.

People are too picky. As long as it's above 128 (preferably 192 though) I don't care. In fact, I care more for the tags being proper than it being in FLAC, but this is just me.

They loop one more time compared to the ripped version, and the cutscene music doesn't have any sound effects.

FYI, there is a compilation soundtrack coming out at the beginning of August. I'd wait for that if you're not a fan of obtaining it on iTunes.

I always have the philosophy of not expecting anyone to upload anything for you, even if they said they would. Only time and integrity will reveal that.

Koopa, do you really have these ones?, it seems it will be worth having both the iTunes and CD, according to the lists at VGMDB, the iTunes versions together can't fit a single disc and don't seem to match the CD tracklist, however, the CD will have a bonus track. Can you upload the original AACs?

Found the digital release of sonic 4 episode 2 Sonic4EpisodeII-OST.zip (http://www.mediafire.com/?5u0yeifqborncwe)

And episode 1 Sonic4EpisodeI-OST.zip (http://www.mediafire.com/?63rmloaivfa0xz0)

But it's no different from the Original Soundtrack that was released august of last year Because like on the Soundtrack version, The Track lengths are also short on the ITunes version despite these sites saying differently about the track lengths https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sonic-hedgehog-4-episode-i/id537918700
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sonic-hedgehog-4-episode-ii/id537917973

Well I'm pretty Disapointed I guess ITunes got the track lengths wrong, Well it's no loss on Sonic 4 Episode 1 since their is already a Gamerip of That with long track lengths but it's Sonic 4 Episode 2's ITunes OST that was a letdown for it's short track lengths, Hopefully somebody does a Gamerip with more then 1 or 2 loops.
