Is any one else worried that there will be a lack of storyline in final XI because of it being online?
They arent simply going to create online Final Fantasy games now are they?

It's a MMORPG, what do you expect?

And no, future FFs will not be online. FFXII is proof of that. XI is just a once off. Personally, I think the fact they called it 'XI' is weird, though. FF : Online would be much more suitable, since it's NOT a proper FF, and more of a spin-off like Crystal Chronicles or Mystic Quest. Not that those comparisons are meant to say anything about the quality, though.

There is much more of a story in FFXI than you would think actually. Not the big world-spanding, epic, orphan save the world type story, but still a decent story mixed in.

The main thing about FFXI is the exploring and seeing things with other people and fighting in epic battles with other people. There really is nothing like when you and five of your lvl 20 friends head out and destroy the dragon in Windhurst... it makes you feel like you're part of something... even though you're just sitting in front of your computer eating cheese doodles.

Whats great is that with 3 kingdoms you can see how the story unfolds based on your nationality's point of view, its great but after you're really deep into the plot all thee POV's merge into one big turning point. *gocrystalwarriors *
