Souder, a homicide detective in a small Texan town, and his partner, transplanted New York City cop Detective Heigh, track a sadistic serial killer dumping his victims' mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call 'The Killing Fields'.

Though the swampland crime scenes are outside their jurisdiction, Detective Heigh is unable to turn his back on solving the gruesome murders.

Despite his partner's warnings, he sets out to investigate the crimes. Before long, the killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead.

When familiar local girl Anne goes missing, the detectives find themselves racing against time to catch the killer and save the young girl's life.

1. The composer's name is Dickon Hinchliffe, not Dickson. It's written right there on the front of the album.

2. The FLAC is not fake. Whatever made you say that?

Where is it available as anything other than a Digital Download?, there is no physical CD and there has been no Lossless Digital release that I have heard of.

Maybe you ran an analysis of it but those can be faked.

Uhh, good point.

For what it's worth, I listened to it.

Having listened to it, I did have a look at a spectral scan (which suggests lossless) but obviously that's no definitive method of telling for sure.

iTunes AAC looks (and sounds) like lossless under a spectral scanner.

It probably is a fake.

My apologies to you, sir. I guess I have a kneejerk reaction these days to such things...

No problem my friend, under analysis it does give that impression (22Khz) but it's most assuredly not true Lossless.

You know, I'm a big fan of Tindersticks. That's the reason I rush on that score. What can I say ? It was late...

I don't have the tools to analyze that. I just can see the bitrate and the frequency (it's 44100 Hz and not 22 kHz).

That the album is not sold in digital lossless means everything on the net but a proof! That said, the sound is not great and it's probably a fake. If it is, I'm sorry for giving you false hopes.

It's a pity because the score is very good.

IN digital audio, the highest representable frequency is half of the sampling rate - hence 22khz.

I don't doubt that you uploaded in good faith. It's a shame that these digital releases aren't happening in lossless; what a step backward. Lossless digital audio at 44.1khz was established as a consumer-audio standard in 1982, for God's sake. That's a sobering thought.

I'll bet it's from here (http://www.qobuz.com/album/texas-killing-fields-music-from-the-motion-picture-dickon-hinchliffe/3610150708021).

PS. if you want to be sure a flac is truly lossless, Audiochecker (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Other-AUDIO-Tools/Audiochecker.shtml) will come in handy.
