Tidus is so awesome! He is the most personality filled final fantasy male character ever created. He's so...real...unlike the other final fantasy guys. (No pun intended...considering he's not even real for Yuna, lol).
I'll admit he can be extremely annoying at times and a bit dorky, but hey! We all can be! It's what makes us human beings!
He was goofy, and yet still felt normal human emotion...unlike Squall, who's instincts couldn't even tell him what love is...until the end (I still think squall is awesome too though)...
I cried like a baby when they played Suteki Da Ne at the Spring sceen where Tidus kisses Yuna. I'm such a romantic. Isn't it sad?

Tidus certainly had an advantage from the start: His emotions could play on his face. Nice emotions. I don't know if I LOVE Tidus personality-wise... Well, I certainly wouldn't say no to him as a boyfriend, but he isn't exactly my kind of guy, especially because he's a little loud-mouthed at times...

Yeah, that's true...but who wants a PERFECT guy anyway. I like opinionated people. But hey, that's just me. Plus, the loud-mouthedness is all part of the package/personality thing I mentioned before...right?

i like loud-mouths, which is why i prefer zell dincht over tidus any day. he is just as cute, but also has a fun tattoo on his face. the tattoo owns all. tidus is a snazzier dresser, but you just cant beat the tattoo

I liked him before playing the game because he looks cute to me, or you can say he made me play FFX, haha
But after playing the game, I think I like Yuna more, but Tidus is still fine =P, sometimes he is just so dumb and make me laugh =D

Personally, I think that Tidus is not that cool at all. I don't think he was the more memorable main final fantasy character. He maybe the star player of the zanarkand abes, but he bitches way too much and he's a crybaby. You want to know who I think was the best FF character, it would have to be Squall from FFVIII. He's a complete bad-ass. Plus he looks sexy in leather !! He'd beat Tidus anyday

To be perfectly honest, Tidus annoys me.....a whole lot. People make the argument that he's a real character, and that's true. He is a real character- he's probably the most realistic character ever in a Final Fantasy. And I think it's a great thing that he did that but- I don't know. Something about him just rubs me the wrong way. I like the way he interacts with Yuna though.

I like Tidus 'cause he's the only one who didn't treat the girl he loved like crap, shut her out, or lay a cheesy pick-up line on her. They've all got their good aspects, but his has to be how genuine he is.

hmm, i thought more people would hate him, thats the only reason i checked this thread, in my oppinion, im glad he disappeared at the end, i just wish he couldve had a grousome, slow, painful death... sephiroth would have killed him pretty well, too bad hes not in the same game...but hes sephiroth, he can do anything.

Tidus sucks. Im sure glad he dissapeared at the end!! He was soooo annoying!! Cloud was way better even though people still call him a spiky haired freak...well i dont. yeah tidus sucks just to get my point clear.

I love Tidus for his cheerful optimism ;)! His looks don't really catch my eye though. I always thought he looked too much like a Californian surfer for a Japanese story. It's okay to have different culture looks once in a while I suppose.

- Having your hometown destroyed is probably a freaky experience.
- Suddenly finding yourself in a strange (and at first hostile) world can be scary.
- This constant uncertainty whether your memories are real or not... unnerving.
- Discovering that your father is that monster trashing everything and killing everybody... hm... I'd probably not shrug it off.
- Falling in love only to discover that your newly found love is on a quest that will ultimately end with her death...
- This overall hopeless atmosphere in a world where death can come every minute. :/
- Discovering that you are going to die/disappear, and that there is nothing you can do to prevent this, even though you don't want to do, even though you know it makes people sad. I'd go insane, frankly. Tidus was really brave... O_o
- Killing your father, and having him die in your arms. Tidus cried then. Does this make him a loser? Or are you just being insensitive?

I don't love him. His a great character and he plays his roll well, but I just don't think that his THAT cool.

Seriously; I would be whiney too after evertying and traumatizing things happening to me. I don't know how people could call him a whiner when he usually has a smile on his face more than half the time on his journey. He remains optimistic as much as possible! He definetley did not whine all the time ;).

At first, I was really annoyed with him and I couldnt stand him. I seldom include him in my party. But as the game progressed, I realized that he isnt so bad at all. He's courageous and determined. He made Yuna happy..made her smile and forget her problems temporarily..He also brought joy to the entire gang. He even made Kimahri smile! But best of all, despite the hardships he's been through, he still managed to stand up and be cheerful. I mean, he was a dream..he wasnt real, he lost both his parents at a very young age, had to kill his father in order to save Spira, lost his Home and he couldnt be with the one he loves (in FFX anyway). He's a really unique character..he's like a typical guy, which makes him realistic.

I like Tidus alot even though he had thi childish attitude.He was very devoted 2 protecting Yuna and soon fell in love wit her.I like Tidus for his heroism and his care for his companions Oh here he is right now on a nice time wit Yuna.
