This is a collection of unreleased music by Nicholas Hooper that I managed to find all over the net. It features such films as Enid, State of Parliament, African Cats, Mo etc. If anyone happens to have something more that I'm missing here then he/she is welcome to share it with us all here. Enjoy! :)

I love Nicholas Hooper :) ! Thanks a lot for this.

I wonder if we will ever get his recording sessions for Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince.

This is good (but I was secretly hoping for some Harry Potter stuff).

Believe me, Harry Potter's what I was originally searching for but apparently not a single unreleased track is out there... Although there is an alternate version of "Dumbledore Army" in the complete score posted by mannoweik which is pretty clean. I was thinking of including it here but eventually it didn't make it in this compilation

I do not know sure what is officially and what is unreleased material, but I can offer the following music of Hooper: Andes To Amazon (BBC-TV, 28 Tracks), Land Of The Tiger (BBC-TV, 30 Tracks), The Heart Of Me (OST-V.A., 23 Tracks). They all have a variable bit rate of 192-256 kbps, with a total size of 300 MB. If desired, it will take until next week to upload the three albums, because I am currently on the road.

@DerKlang - the titles you named are not unreleased so they just don't go in this thread, thank you though. Nevertheless, you can check which of them aren't on the forum yet (or the links are not active anymore) and upload them contributing to the forum.

Thank you very much. I've been wanting to some of his score for African Cats after watching the film. I'm hoping that the recording sessions of both of his Harry Potter scores can be leaked (especially since that he wrote two hours of music for OOTP).

Thank you! Even since Hooper's score to African Cats was nominated for a Best Score Academy Award I have wanted to hear it.

EDIT: above comment clarified in #10 below

Um.. Hooper wasn't nominated for a Academy Award. Never.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. African Cats was one of the scores being considered for a nomination at the 84th Academy Awards in 2011, but didn't make it into the final 5.

Too bad "The African Cats" never got a proper release. This is such a marvelous score...

I'd love a re-up of this if possible. I didn't know of Hooper prior to his work on Harry Potter, but I was seriously impressed by that work, and despite my love of Alexandre Desplat's work, would have preferred to have Hooper score the remainder of Harry Potter films.

I remember Hooper or Yates saying they had about 50 or so cues from HBP to select from on their ipods? Can't remember to be honest, but I hope someone can steal that ipod and deliver it here...

any professional thieves here :D hehe

If anyone's interested, here is a re-upload. 22 Cues were ripped off from COOL Music Limited... Kudos to ygmmasta.

Hooper said that he writes between five and seven hours of music for each film. Though in OOTP, he only recorded two hours of music. The CD already had 52 minutes of music, which included most of the important cues of the film.

The missing ones must be at least 20, 30 minutes. So there might be like 30, 40 minutes of alternates or unused cues.

Exactly. Same with HBP, since the movie is longer than OOTP. There were many deleted scenes and also deleted/unused music.
