Clouds 'Organics' is nice, so is his Ultimate Weapon... so awesome cuz i always imagined it was made out of diamond with sapphire in the center.. how awesome would that be real replica full size in real life!

Clouds crystal sword is cool i always loved that one, otherwise Sephiroth's masamune is bad ass O yea and i almost forgot i love the Yosiyuki, its more like a katana then any of his other swords except the muramasa ,a smaller version of the masamune....much smaller..

The Apocalypse and Yoshiyuki looked the best imo.

I liked Squall's Lionheart a lot too. I also liked Ultima Weapon for the effect it had with the color change as it was powered up vs. powered down.

It's gotta be the BUSTER SWORD. If it was more powerful and could hold more materia it'd be top. Beats Ultima Weapon anyday, that one was stupid. It would have made more sense to inflict greater damage when Cloud's health was lower, plus it looks more novelty than Nail Bat.

i'm cheering for the buster sword bc of its originality......but ultimate weapon and masamune run a close second! I also like the way the rune blade looks (i think its the one cloud holds in the pic of him on the bike with the symbols etched in it)

It was revived a little more than a month ago and has been floating around since then. Curiously enough, nobody ever moved it to Gen FF, even though the opening post reffed both FFVII and VIII.

you know, my friend Galen made cloud's buster sword and spray painted it. it looks pretty cool and like the actual thing. Only the thing is... he let his friend mess with it, and his friend ended up hitting him in the eye. So he had a black eye for a while. ^_^

I like the Crystal Sword and the Ragnarok.

I'm gonna have to go against the grain and go with "Nail bat" on this one, even though you couldn't equip materia on it and it isn't nearly as strong as some of his later weapons, it was a freaking bat with rusty nails sticking out of it, that alone makes it great. It was his only weapon with a comedic presence to it.

I think i killed more men in mgs3 with the small but efective knife from snake than monsters with any sword i could equip to squall, i stay with my very small sword : D

I thought the Apocalypse looked pretty cool.
I also liked Ragnarok and the Ultimate Weapon, too.

And it'd be kind of cool to have Squall's gunblade in real life...but then again, it'd be kind of cool to have any of the weapons that either Cloud or Squall had in real life.

My favourite "sword" on ffVII has to be clouds nail bat for two reason

ONE!: as far as looks go it made the Climhazzard limit break look absolutely hilarious... well it did to me anyway!

TWO!: I actually found this, the seemingly least useful weapon in the entire game, relatively useful at the time I was playing when I aquired it! crazy, i know!

I think in a real life situation Squall's gunblade would be the most practical. Just shoot with the gun and kill them right away. But for a sword fight the winner would probably be Sephiroth's sword. It probably weighs the least so it can quickly swing at your oponent. but as far as favorites go, I like seeing cloud carry around that huge sword that would be to difficult for any regular human to wield successfully. So I pick clouds sword.

Masamune by far. It isn't really the flashiest of them all but the fact that it is 6 feet long and is wielded by such a nut makes it my winner.

Cloud's Swords: They're too bulky and bastard swordish...not to mention that he's supposed to a "speedy" character, but with a sword that big...combined with his skinny arms...I find it utterly amazing he can lift it, let alone spin it during his Victory Pose.

Sephiroth's Sword: Sephiroth uses an Odachi commonly mistaken for a Masamune. The Masamune is actually a name given to a sword that has over 1000 kills...at least according to various Japanese historians. The Odiachi itself is very difficult to wield, and it's usually used for attacking from a horse, much like the Naginata. Than again...he is a supernatural character...

....Why do i get the feeling that you are purposely replying to my posts in order to make me look stupid? Hmm...well, good luck trying. I'm well aware of the swordsmith's name. However, what you are failing to do is further your research. Had you not of been retarded, you could have continued to read on whatever little report you have. The weapon is bestowed the name "Masamune" when the wielder of said weapon has reached his or her peak skill(Hence, the 1000 kills) level. Keep reading next time, dumb-ass.
