Can anyone confirm legitimacy? I have suspicions when there's not a log/cue.

Spectral scan is not necessary or useful; listen to confirm legitimacy. :)

I've never considered log/cue files to be the ultimate proof whether's something lossless or not. After all, they are just text based files, easily changed/faked. Spectrums, especially zoomed parts of it are great for checking, but yeah, your ear is a nice method too.

What's different to the one from Kln?

The Final-Boss Suite is now on the CD and instead of just using "One Winged Angel" As the Final Fantasy Boss Music, they made a Mix Between One winged angel, Kefka's Theme and Dancing Mad.
Other than that there isn't much different, except that i think the overall quality is better (and no cheering)

I go back form Kln, and it was amazing (even tho it was the 2009 version and not this one) ! :D I just missed the dedications/inscriptions (?) before the concert. :(

Thank you! Can't wait to compare the two albums!

By the way, on the subject of the now-silent audience, I actually like it when I can hear the audience clap after a particularly energizing/moving piece. The applause I heard after the Chrono Cross/Trigger medley played gave me chills because the audience's reaction was exactly how I personally felt about the piece.

That being said, not hearing the audience screaming their heads off after a piece certainly isn't going to ruin it for me!

I think I prefer the original versions of all the songs -- Except the encore. Oh. My. God. I thought they were just going to troll the audience with 4 measures of One Winged Angel again. But not even One Winged Angel is as epic as all of those themes mashed up, building off of each other like they arranged it this time! Excuse me while I go change my pants...

Interesting. I always wondered why anyone would want to leave audience cheers on live albums.

I always felt the audience was half the point of a live album. For example, I prefer Billy Joel's concert albums over his studio albums in part because the audience really pumps up the experience (and in part because he's better live anyway.) but for orchestral music like this, I only want to hear the music, and the audience just gets in the way. So it really depends on the music and the cooperation of the audience. Overall though, I'd take a silent audience over one that screams "I LOVE YOU BILLY" in the middle of the song.

As for the album itself, I haven't heard it yet, but I'm really hoping they fixed up that part in the chrono medley where it sounded like everything fell apart (and not in a way that sounded intentional.)
