none of the characters would really get along except maybe selphie getting along with the 7 characters. the characters in 7 were more silly and childish than in 8.

well, in my mind, selphie, quistis, tifa, aeris, and yuffie are having a pillow fight in their underwear...

Cloud would so own Squall in a sword fight. I mean, Squall doesn't even technically have a sword (gunblade? that's the most ridiculous weapon Square had thought up).

Also, the Cid in FF7 is much cooler than the one from 8.

And Sephiroth would kill the upstart Ultimecia with no trouble whatsoever, just because he's that badass.

And Vincent would scare the hell out of everyone else in 8 when he transformed into Chaos.

Cloud might be a better swordsman than Squall, but then again, the Gunblade is a completely different kettle of fish weapon to the sword anyways. There's a different technique to the two. (The Ultima Weapon, for instance, is a two handed sword that Cloud uses power attacks behind to slash things with - no real finesse than swing and hope. The Gunblade is a one handed blade, with the option of pulling the trigger to implant bullets or whatever into the opponent.)

And it's fantasy. So if the idea isn't feasible in real life, it doesn't matter. The Universe has different rules and stuff.

Plus, if you wanna get really technical, Squall's Renzokuken + Lionheart attack hits about 30 times. Cloud's Omnislash only hits 15...

Yeah, anyways, it would be an interesting tale... I reckon, personally, that Squall and Cloud would get on fine. They just wouldn't have a whole lot to say to each other.

And maybe Ultimecia will fall in love with Sephiroth?

i'd say that ultimecia would try to control sephiroth. she would definitely want a power-demon like him on her side. but could she manage him? who knows.

Sephiroth is way to much of a badass to get a long with anyone, he would prolly go around killing people for fun. Cloud is cooler then squall who would get pwned.

Both Cid and Yuffie get FFVIII's cast to loosen up. All except for Selphie whose amazing energy even they find hard to believe.

Thing is, you don't get Lionheart all the time (about 25% of the time maximum) while Cloud ALWAYS hits the same number of hits with Omnislash. I prefer consistency over potential.

I remember one boss fight against Ultimecia when he hit the move three times in a row. A little bit overkill, I'll admit, but it was pretty to watch.

Plus you've got to wait for Cloud to get pissed off enough to use Omnislash. It's easier to get Lionheart powered up, cast Aura on Squall and you're away. If it doesn't hit first time, it'll hit eventually.

Actually if u wanna go far enough u can max out squalls luck stats with ultima or something and then cast aura over and over then cloud would end up lookin like jenova

Okay, all things relative, how about Squall vs. the Sephiroth from the Kalm flashback, eh?

No way in hell he'd beat Sephiroth, I mean, he's invincible.

Also, as for Cloud vs. Squall, max out Cloud's stats with the sources you can get at the Gelnika and such, plus the proper materia combinations, and Squall would get owned: KOTR + HP Absorb mastered materia combo, another KOTR + MP Absorb mastered, Final Attack + Phoenix mastered. Voila, Cloud ownz all.

So far u guyz tink Cloud will own Squall.. erm-hem y is tat so?

I've tot another thing if both worlds clashed.. Erm.. Midgar will be overun by the Galbadian Army.. even the Junon cannon cant do a thing agst the tech of the army..

For the point of Cloud being invincible with Final Life-Phoenix paired and Knights of the Round equipped. All well and good. But if Squall has Phoenix Pinions on him, the moment he dies, Phoenix is summoned.

And he can carry up to 99 of those. Cloud can only use his materia combination 5 times. In a test of endurance, Squall wins once again.

As for Squall Vs Sephiroth... Well, you say Sephy's invincible, but Cloud at Level 1 or such wounded Sephiroth and chucked him into the beyond. Squall at Level 50, 60, 70, should be able to do the same.

... I don't even know why I'm arguing this for, I like Cloud as much as I like Squall.

i agree that the characters in ff7 were a HELL of alot cooler than ff8. I mean Barret would piss pound all them punks from ff8!:lol

I think at bottom levels, Squall would probably kick Clouds ass. Higher levels though, Cloud with magic and summons would win.

just imagine cloud and crew with mastered knights of round paired with 4X materia along with everybody with mime.

But then Squall + Co. toss a Holy War and laugh their butts off! Oh wait, Cloud + Co. can be invincible too, just have Aeris cast Great Gospel, except.... oops! Yeah, little problem there.

Thats a little harsh about the Aeries remark, Cloud and Squall would be a good fight to see, but Cloud would be the victor. Just use KOTR "walla" squall is dead, max HP for any character is 9999. I know what if squall went first, but he wouldnt cos cloud might be just alittle bit faster than squall.

as long as someone in the group has what i mentioned above equiped and one character has final attack summon phoenix there is simply no way or question.....Cloud and company make a complete shutout.:lol

You know, since fights in Final Fantasy are determined on Stat Points rather than quality of character, and the maximum level of all stat points is 255, doesn't that mean that if ANY FF character fought any other one, they'd just kill each other, or be locked in a stalemate?
