This may be a very odd request but I'm looking for the music from the early series of Thomas the Tank Engine. Not sure if any if the music used in the series is actually available but I know an extended version of the original theme is available as I have a low bitrate version.

Anything at all would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

HJ

Very nostalgic request. I tried to get some of the music way back, but none of the scores have ever been released. On YouTube you can find some attempts at combining musical parts and hushing the sound effects and Ringo's naration, but these all turn out rather poor.

Thanks, I know it was a shot in the dark, but always worth an ask!

As far as I know, there's never been any soundtrack released other than Hummie Mann's quite excellent score for the terrible movie that was made. It's really a shame nothing has been released for the TV show, as it contained some absolutely beautiful melodies: the Narrow Gauge theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRB22I9CizY&t=0m19s) is among my favorite themes from any film or TV show ever. The closest thing I've been able to find is this site (http://nwrno6music.tk/) where a guy posts his mockups/recreations of various themes from the show. He doesn't have everything, but he has decent VIs and does a pretty good job with the orchestration.

If I may help, have a look for SudrianAfro on Youtube... You'll see, you won't be dissapointed. :)
