Talk about your blasts from the past there... it's understandable that folks might have forgotten that this series is also part of Konami's portfolio (along with Axelay and Airforce Delta Strike, which latter, while having a slew of unusual/unexpected planes for an Ace-Combat-alike, suffered (at least in the US versions) from the unfortunate 'Sea Vixen glitch' - which made the unlock condition for the Axelay (acquire all other (purchasable?) craft) impossible to fulfill.
