This is the latest edition of Jane Eyre released by LLL. There isn't any additional music in relation to others editions of the same score. The only difference is that this time the music was remastered purposely for this release, and that's a good thing, because Jane Eyre was in my opinion the first of many excellent scores that maestro Williams composed.

Enjoy :)

The reason i haven't put any scans yet, is the same reason i haven't shared in lossless too.
Is my principal to not post lossless rips for limited editions until they aren't sold out, or after a few weeks after the release date. Once this edition sold out, i will post a lossless rip with booklet scans, unless someone else do it first of course.

Thank you Sanico. Depositefile is really slow at my end. So just want to ask you: Is the sound improved from the silvascreen version? Greatly improved or just slightly? Also, does the booklet offer different liner notes than the Silva version?

I hope I can get hold of a copy before it sold out, though I had the silva disc for many years. Remembering when it was aired in TV in 90s, I taped it just for its music, as the VHS was the only source of the music at that time.

I would say the sound is much better now, but truth be told i don't have the Silva CD to make a fair comparison.
The LLL liner notes are alone worth the price of the set. It contains around 20 or so pages, with track-by-track commentaries and i mean musically descriptive and not only indicative of the scenes they were meant for, even including a transcript of the notes from the original LP, all wrapped with photo displays from the serie. It's a great set.

Fantastic sound. Although I have already bought the silva screen edition but
I think this one is also mine. A masterpiece in every regard.

thank you, when i was younger i thought john williams was the man of starwars - end of the line. when i first listened to his earlier works i was amazed by his skills to describe much subtler feelings through music, and i had for many years the TER LP of Jane Eyre.... the main theme is one of the finest he ever composed.

That is so true. Many people knows of Williams only by his music from Star Wars, Superman, etc., but they are just a small part of his entire euvre...

The FLAC link is already dead. There must be some sort of automated process that checks for file names or checksums and deletes them because this is really quick.

There's still a valid link at http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/jane-eyre-%5B75th-birthday-edition%5D-john-williams-134033/2.html#post2574175

By the way. I am still looking for this LLL edition. It was sold out long time ago. Maybe Sanico is keen to share it again? XD

I know I'm a little late to this party, but I would also like to request a re-up. Though it looks like Sanico hasn't been active here in a while. Would anyone else who downloaded this previously be willing to re-up in FLAC?
