Most of the stuff listed here can be found hosted on Emuparadise (if memory serves me right, it's missing only Diablo III, the two Lands of Lore guides and Half-Life Versus Books one). I've initially planned to reupload a few guides, but given the situation with file-hosting websites isn't really "good" at the moment, plus me not really wanting to help the current-generation downloaders, any more, thanks to their behaviour... My existence on this board can be erased, for all I care, along with the threads.

In the end, take a look at Emuparadise's database, which we helped build... And in case the guide you want isn't there.... Ask around for it. If I had to go by the number of downloads my links received before the account got nuked, more than 400 users should have the guides I've shared, there's a decent chance you'll find someone with the heart to reupload.

Welcome to the "new" e-guides made in PRIMA, which now come in the form of Websites. Yeah, what you called a bunch of random files is actually the official e-guide. Arguably, they stopped selling digital .PDF versions because those were largely ripped and shared by the likes of us. I couldn't find a scan of the actual book, back then... I guess it would be faster to just order it.

That was worded wrong. It's not like the link isn't working, anymore, the file was "removed" due to copyright takedown notice(s).

PRIMA finally noticed EP, took them long enough; glad to see, though, that with the way I've named my files, some of the PRIMA guides are still hosted. I probably shouldn't do this, but register on their board and contact MasJ, they might have been forced to remove most PRIMA guides, but they should still be owned by the Webmaster, or some of the Staff.

Guess I'll get a bit more requests, now. heh. It was great while it lasted.

I've labelled it like that to remind me of what it is. I'll eventually add the Crisis Core: FINAL FANTASY VII one, too.

No really serious reasons; they used Omega for VII, X and X-2, wanted to keep things "consistent".

The thing is that there is a book called "FFX-2 Ultimania" and another revised one called "FFX-2 Ultimania Omega", to denote that there is a difference between the two. So if you have the "FFX-2 Ultimania" and label it "Omega", you're bound to confuse people since they're distinctly different books.

Hi there ladies and gents, specifically Leon Scott Kennedy - I've been trying to find a scan for The Witcher 2's Prima Guide all over the internet but haven't been able to find it. It does exist, but has been sold out for years and no one seems to have scanned it. The closest thing I've seen to it by name alone is the "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Prima Official eGuide [306 MB]" listed in the beginning post of this thread.

Emuparadise doesn't have the scan nor even the one mentioned in the post, but if anyone here or Leon has either the scan of the proper paperback guide or even the one listed in the thread, I would be eternally grateful for both. I really want to complete the game with a handy guide, but the guide itself is sold out so I can't even buy it, and as more useful as they are, I don't want to use a Wiki page since they usually don't tend to have the pics with them.

I see - that's disappointing to read, as you can see from the ridiculous prices for the guides since it's out of print. The eGuides don't compare to it either, I just checked your links and the two you sent me are the same as what I found on the net already.

A real shame, since such an excellent game won't have an alternative to getting the guide at a normal price since it's out of print for years now.

I've been looking for some time and gotten all the guides I could find on the net, but if somehow some way you or anyone else finds the scan of the guide, please let me know!

Hmm... Does anybody need Prima Guides hosted only on EmuParadise? If so, I've found a way to help with that, I think... The method works for me, at least.

I've ordered online a sealed stategy guide for a game that kinda never hit shelves: Darkstalkers: Jedah's Damnation, the original proposed title for my favorite fighting game Vampire Savior, outside of Japan. This guide was published by GameFan Books, I'd say around summer 1997. What's interesting is this strategy guide was basically put out RIGHT BEFORE it hit arcades! The title "Jedah's Damnation" ended up unused, and instead Capcom USA got a licensing deal with White Wolf and distributed the game to the U.S. arcades as "Vampire Savior: World of Darkness". But on the consoles outside Japan, it's under a lame name of "Darkstalkers 3". :(

I just got in the Darkstalkers guide today. Has a bit of interesting coverage on the characters and the game itself. I like this guide a lot, although it was released before the game. :P

I looked through the section covering Baby Bonnie Hood and I'll admit, the information is wrong compared to the Darkstalkers Graphic File and the official Japanese strategy guides for game. It states that B.B. Hood was born in 1979 and is from the U.S., while the official sources from the JP guides and UDON books state that she is between 10-14 years old and from Northern Europe, where I think the story of Little Red Riding Hood originated. Otherwise, nice guide! :P

Edit: I nearly forgot to share a link to The Internet Archive’s Strategy Guides Section (https://archive.org/details/strategyguides?sort=titleSorter) which I found today while searching for the above title.

They currently hold 593 (mostly older) guides in their free and downloadable collection, as well as a handy rss feed for update notifications.
