This is obviously the case of the common *crash*.

why have the news updates stopped on the home page? There have been so many new things that have been released, including a pic of yuffie! and square enix has an official FFVII BC site up now. the e3 trailer wasnt on the home page at all. lots of close ups of cid and red XIII have been released. Translations of scans have talked about marlene being kidnapped from tifa. Square enix is now thinking about bringing FFVIIAC into theatres now. I know its all probably in the forums somewhere, but that doesnt mean it shouldnt be brought up on the news section on the home page.

I have figured out why ff7 didnt work. Here are instructions for Windows XP.
1. Right click the ff7 demo icon and go to properties
2. Go to compatibililty tab.
3. Click Run this program in compatibility mode for
4. Then choose Windows 98 / Windows Me.
5. *Poof* your finish.

(This may work for other windows)

I downloaded the trailer #1 and I started up Windows media player it then tried to find teh right codec for the trailer, but it said Error Codec, can some one help please. It also happens on teh second trailer.

After it says Error Code after trying to downlaod it, it starts the audio but no video. help me please.

To make this work you need to right click and then a menu will pop up. Click on properties then make it compatible with windows 95(all this is in the "compatability section in properties. then try again. ( make sure you read the readme text or you wont know the controls. they are kind of wierd but it works. This message is from the notorious Driot also know as TRIGUN ASSASIN!!!!!

The Final Fantasy X-2 songs that i downloaded were from kazaa. It has a very good selection but unfortunately also very good at giving you a virus. I hate virus's they have majorly mucked up my computer so i have to use my college one, which means that i only get to go on the internet usually once a week! Argh!
Kazaa also has all the trailers for Advent Children. :)

Oh, and while I'm at it, you can take a picture from any site, has to be 100 x 100 pixels or less, save that to your computer and upload it by clicking "Browse" under Edit Avatar, or you can copy the image location and paste it in the white bar that has "http" in it, erase that and then paste the image url.

Mine did the exact same thing, and my computer is new so yea.....

It did the same thing to mine but then I messed around in the properties menu, i think. Made it compatible with Windows 95 and then it just runs really well.

But what's disturbing about that is im waiting on the FF7 & 8 PC Games to be delivered to my place and they might not actually work. :-( (well FF7 anyways as the FF8 demo works fine)

well if u were listening the first fwe post, to solve this problem, simply:
1) go to the FF7 DEMO folder (EX:C:\Program Files\FF7 Demo)
2) on the FF7demo icon, right click it and go to propertys
3)click on the compatibility tab
4) then click on Run this program in compatibilty mode for: Windows 98/ME
)5 start up the game and u can play

I have a demo of FF 8. When I am starting it up a mowie just start and then the movie has ended: I dont remember, but the game is not startiong. Can somebody help me.

not really.....if you have oDc or dc++....try there....but the game is 4 or 5 cd...

For the FFVII AC Trailer Codec Error, u may need to upgrade your media player, i have Windows XP and it works great, it is the highest media player so far, i think, but if u dont have XP try upgrading on the internet. If u have XP, i have no idea what u should do sorry....

you know i have the same problem, but i have an XP and no tab thing show, i click properties, and it just shows a little box with a bunch of letters and an OK button..so i've given up on this demo

For alpha :there might be some places you could dwld....if you use mIRC...or oDc/ dc++....

be patient. the reason i'm saying this is because i'm in canada and i have to wait a lot longer then you guys in Asia. you're so lucky in my point of view.

i have downloaded the final fantasy 7 demo and it works just fine. it is one of those games where you need all of the multiple files required. also, i downloaded it from a different site. ill get it later. after the mini cloud runs to the arena, he draws his sword and the scrren should like twist or something, then the battle screen appears and your fightin 3 lionlike creatures. i got to the 6th wave of enemys, which is this weird red scorpion.

If this has already been posted, forgive me, I didn't feel like reading the whole thing. Since at the moment I am using a Windows ME computer, I downloaded the demos, FFVIII ran fine, FFVII needed some work. I had to do these steps 'cuz Windows ME doesn't have a Compatibility bar in Properties.

Making FFVII Demo Run on Any Form of Windows:
1. Right click on the shortcut to make it run.
2. Go to Properties.
3. You will see the option "Archive" pre-checked.
4. Un-check Archive option.
5. Click ok.
6. Run the game.

Do you all have watching FF7:Advent Children.
I think Advent Children are great animation than others.

If u all haven't watching it yet, go n buy it.

rite alberio, there ain''t a FF i haven't completed coz i recently joined square-enix asa a beta tester and have access to FFXIII which is so f$&^$$g amazing to play, and ff9 was the easiest to complete i did it in 7hours 38 minutes with all weapons and gold chocobo

this site is really cool, it can really give us info on the gmes!just one problem ive figured out, for the ff8 walkthrough, why dont u provide the guide for the other two disks? and on the part where u need to cross the sewers to continue, can u provide a better dicribtion on how to cross it as it is really a very complicated part and u will need a very detailed guide to cross it really-trust me-heheh

To make this work you need to right click and then a menu will pop up. Click on properties then make it compatible with windows 95(all this is in the "compatability section in properties. then try again. guess what his wing surrounds hhim then he dematerilizes's back into kadaj and then kadaj hear's mothers voice and he dematerlize's and then cloud gets shot in heart cloud lives (loz shot cloud) and then he went up killed loz and stuff they died and demateralized and then the kid (forgot name sorry) cloud puts him in pool of water and his stigma goes away, and just about 30 seconds later he sees aerith leaving through a door of pure white light with zack and thats the end basically.

Hey, I am from Canada, and I'm 17. My favorite final fantasy game was definitely FF7 because it had a lot of action and a great storyline to go along with it, plus it wasn't juvenile like Final Fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy 9...*rolls eyes*. I played dirge of cerberus...I actually thought it was pretty good. FF8 was my second favorite, and FF10 was third. I played FF6 on an emulator last summer, but it sort of blew (too many battles and boring). Anyways, has anybody heard about a FF7 coming out on PS3 (or FF8)? I hope they come out with a FF game that was as good as 7 and 8, because I have been spending most of my last 3 years in disappointment in all the corny games I have tried...LOL.
