Can you elaborate? BTW when I downloaded the file it took over two and a half hours on a 1.5 kbps dsl connection.

The Dark Shadows-Prologue track is surprisingly awesome, reminds me of Sleepy Hollow and the best and darkest stuff Elfman has done, yet in an enjoyable, moody way. Pretty good score actually, makes me want to watch the movie. I love it when it's the soundtrack that makes me interested in a movie, I'd say that the composer did a good job then. (Craig Armstrong managed the same thing with his World Trade Center score, a movie I had no plans of watching. Yet after his loving and amazing score, I had to)

The movie is decent, though YMMV. The tone is similar to "Beetlejuice", and it's honestly about as good as that movie. Not quite "Sweeney Tood" or "Sleepy Hollow" level, though.

Thanks so much! I haven't been able to see it yet, but I've been really looking forward to hearing this until then.

I thought the movie was good. I loved it! It's a mix of Beetlejuice + Sleepy Hollow with a little Sweeney Todd on the side. It also pays homage to many 70s films like Carrie and The Exorcist (I noticed two more, but can't think of them now).

The soundtrack was also great. I think Burton did a great job of choosing the music for the film!

Anyone got it yet?

I thought some of the moments that were meant to be funny, felt forced & unnecessary. I also thought the actress playing Angelique was somewhat weak. But overall I really enjoyed it and would see it again. It has all of Burton's stylistic trademarks (which is a good thing in my book), yet doesn't feel like a retread.

Elfman did an excellent job with the score too!

Wow, Eva Green, weak ? She steals the show in every scene she is in. I've read everything about the movie but pretty much everybody praised her performance...
