Yes but I find more appealing the different "general mood" and tone of the score, its slightly different orchestration approach. Basically both scores don't sound the same to me.

Yes the mood is definitely not the same, more intense in TDK

Do a search for "Lasiurus", which is the very last track of the commercial album release.

It's the same piece of music, only the album version has the 'bat cape' sound effect at the end and the session version doesn't.

I'd like the sheets to BB. Just going through TDK's right now and it looks really detailed. Is this what was officially used by the orchestra or someone just guessed what instruments play which part?

It's what it's used in the orchestra. And it has listed which cues did JNH wrote (which they're on the USC Libraries website) and which ones did Zimmer wrote.

Sweet! Finally, I can look at how the orchestration for Corynorhinus is! Love that piece, JNH outdid himself with that one. Especially the last 30 seconds to close the film while Batman jumps off the building after talking to Gordon. One of the most epic endings ever.
