Something I've been working on for a week, for all the fans (somewhat) disappointed with the LLL album.
However I'm always open to suggestions if there's something I've overlooked or could be improved.

HOOK (JOHN WILLIAMS) - DEFINITIVE EDITION

Changes compared to the Lalaland release:

- all the tracks from the album are in film order
- increased the volume of all tracks except for 'The Ultimate War', so the volume is now much more consistent throughout the entire score
- 'Follow that Shadow' has been edited into 'Remembering Childhood', exactly where it appears in the film
- 'The Ultimate War' has been turned into a single cue, has the loops and edits improved so the first 8 minutes are now exactly like the 1991 OST version, the volume level has been optimised throughout the entire track (this has been a lot of work to level everything out, but I think this is what LLL should have released)
- included 5 alternates as a separate download which can replace the regular tracks, depending on your own preference, details below

Still some choir alternates of "You Are the Pan" and some other cues are missing. Also the "Ultimate War" inserts that can be riopped clean from the dvd.

Yes, the choirless version of 'The Face of Pan' was overlooked, however I think the one with choir is better in every sense.

And what inserts are you referring to exactly? Do you know where they appear? It would be hard to rip those without serious sound effects I take it?

It was a lot of work, but with such a monumental cue totally worth the time invested. If only Lalaland hears this and shamefully admit they've made a boo-boo. :)

No this is from the Lalaland official release from 2012. But as it was severely flawed in certain areas I improved it a bit.

I've already had this one for a long time, but I just came here to comment to all those who haven't heard it yet; even though I have the La La Land Edition (And I even like it), this is THE ONE with the best listening experience. If only to hear 'The Ultimate War' in all it's 20 minute long, uninterrupted glory. The sound is better, as is the flow of the score. I've got the LLL edition for the nostalgia, and this one for the listening experience.

Well, in my case, not exactly new, new in the Forum perhaps. I'm an avid Collector of Film Scores and I have been for the past 35 years, I own both the Original and The Expanded La La Land, but I like your custom version too ;-)
