Not all the tracks are tagged, just ones with the epic vocals.

7zip will be able to extract the files, plus it's free and open source.

Thanks. I've cut the beginning part with all the talking and sound effects (the music doesn't start till a little while in, anyway), and I've cut the end for the same reason. But I'm keeping the middle bit.

You need to combine the two files.
In 7-Zip, right click on one of the two files (.001 or .002 it doesn't matter which), then select 'Combine files' to combine the two into one .7z file, then extract that the normal way.

I combined into one 7-Zip file. I then extracted the files but get the following message for all the MP3s: "Unsupported compression method for".

I'm perplexed with people having troubles with the extraction process. I just downloaded the MP3 archives and they had no problems extracting on both my computers (right-click - 7-zip - extract files). Perhaps your download had an error in some fashion?

As much as I hate to offer perhaps a re-upload is in need?

This is precisely what I did to create the archives.

It seems there has been an update in 7zip recently that supports a new compression format. I just updated my install of 7zip and the new files work like normal by right clicking and selecting "extract here". So Update your 7zip and this will work just fine

I also want to commend your quality tagging here. Most game rips don't bother to tag artist and album information. Nicely done!

I'm not following you when you say the "tracks are garbled".

Most of the tracks come out with gibberish overlayed over the music itself.....I've tried re-downloading it and extracting but it seems to do naught....:S what is going on? D:

I can think of three possible solutions: try a different media player (I recommend foobar2000 with Columns UI). Updating your extraction software to the latest version on 7zip, and re-downloading the game-rip encase of download problem.

Hey, I tried using VLC and it seems fine; looks like you were right about the encoding issues i guess (and here I thought iIunes was unstoppable :I)

I've a fix to that, tested myself with another "Decryption error" case:

- First, open the MEGA download page and see if the filesize matches with the "downloaded" file's one. If it does, proceed to...
- Check the filename on MEGA.... And rename the encrypted one on your PC exactly like that.... file-extension included.

Worked like a charm for me, zero issues with extraction, afterwards.

-Use seven zip and enter password "why?", get this file:
MP3.7z

-Try extracting that again using 7zip, ask for password again so I enter "why?" again, get this error:
"cannot open encrypted file"

The password is "Why?" not "why?" don't forget the capital w.

Supposedly, the majority of the tracks are inspired/borrowed from famous compilations, but I'm not cultured enough in the musical classics to name them. If I had that knowledge, then I'd definitely take the time to share the tracklist with everyone.

I guess most are original pieces as usual Nintendo, i only recognize Franz Liszt - Liebestr�ume No. 3

I recommend other Nintendo soundtracks like Kirby's (not epic like Pandora's Tower but much grace)

These tracks have garbled sound in iTunes only
(I guess it can't take 32 kHz files instead of the usual 44.1 or 48 kHz).
They play fine in WMP and an iPod.

I downloaded both parts, but it says the archive is corrupted (the 002 file it appears).
I don't have problems with 7zip so I guess it's not from my side.

I have reuploaded both FLAC and MP3. I'll pop back every so often to make sure the links are still up and reupload them when necessary. I'd like to promise better support, but I probably wouldn't be able to provide it. I have much more responsibility in life than I did 5 years ago. Hopefully large amount of time since release will protect the links from DMCAs.

This gamerip was always supposed to be a stop-gap for when the official soundtrack was released. Sadly, the soundtrack was never released and this gamerip has become the default soundtrack for Pandora's Tower. I really wish I put more effort into it and tagged it better when I did the gamerip almost 5 years ago. Too late now.

I tried to find where some of the tracks play since many are untagged, let me know if there are any other parts where they're used in or if I was mistaken with any.

BGM (1) I think this one plays in the Ending A & B cutscenes.
BGM (2) Ending S cutscene.
*BGM (3) Ending C cutscene, it might also be the cutscene when Elena turns into the Zeron (Routes S, A & B), but I'm not sure.
BGM (4) Route C Final Boss
BGM (5) Servant Beast battle
*BGM (6) Might be the song that plays in the cutscene before the final boss (Routes S, A & B,) but I'm not sure.
*BGM (7) Pretty sure this is used for the flashbacks/dreams Elena has after consuming Master Flesh.
*BGM (8) Doors leading to to a Master's chamber, this instrumental one is specifically used in the Observatory after giving Elena all of the Master Flesh.
BGM (9)/(11) Used at the Observatory when Elena wanders off to the roof in a trance and briefly after the 8th (i think) and 10th Towers.
BGM (10) Used briefly in 2 cutscenes, the Minotaur Servant Beast's introduction in Rockshard Rampart and the scene where Elena bites Aeron.
BGM (12) I think this is used the first time Elena east Beast Flesh, a couple times after eating Master Flesh and the scene where she's almost falls from the roof. I think it's used in Ending D as well.
Piano Song = Elena Transformation stage 1
BGM (14) = Elena Transformation stage 2
BGM (13) = Elena Transformation stage 3
Situation (7) = Tower outdoor sections
