Which disk was your favorite one to play? Mine would have to be either Disk 1 or Disk 3 ^_^

I just loved those two Disks the most lol.

Disk 4 has the ending on it, so I'm gonna say that. FFIX has one of the most satisfying endings that I've ever been a part of in my life. Bought tears to my eyes.

^^ Oh that reminded me, I heard that there is a way to get "Two" different Endings to FFIX o.o? Like it had somthing to do with having a Hammer or a Excalibur sword o.O Do you know what I'm talking about??

I think what you're thinking of is the sidequest to get Excalibur 2. Basically, if you complete the game in under 16 hours or so, you get a really, really, REALLY hard weapon for Steiner, like the hardest weapon in the game. Getting through the game in 16 hours is pretty tricky (if this is the right number, I'm not sure, someone will have to confirm that for me.)

Does that count as a second ending? From what I've heard it's just an extrea scene for the play?


Well, my favourite disks are probably 2 and 3... 3 had all those cool Kuja scenes and the many revelations... Hmm...

I'm not sure if it's 16 or 12, but you just get a weapon. I don't believe it affects the ending. Not worth it though, cos you're going to miss out on lots of other nice sidequests and such. =/

Disc 2 was the most boring assed disc in any FF game. Disc 3 is usually when I do the Chocobo quest so I'll say that. Disc 4 is a close second purely because of Skirmish of the Silver Dragons.

It's 12 hours for the Excalibur II. And you need the hammer and another item (I forget what it is) for the extra scene. I've never bothered with it though.

As for the best disc, I'm going to say disk 3. Mostly because of Terra.

You get a different scene if you have the hammer, and another different scene if you have Beatrix's Save the Queen. The Hammer you can get in the Stelazzio Side Quest and at this very moment I can't remember how you get the Save the Queen, but it IS possible. So, um, yeah.

and I'd have to go with 4 as the best disc, gotta love that ending :)

You get the Save The Queen by synthesis from Hades. I forget what you need though. The weapon itself is useless.

Have to agree there, the first disk is always awesome. I love the little parts at the beggining when your just really pratting around, but your also developing the storyline, also you get to appreciate the battle system alot more.

I'm gonna for Disc 3. I'm a big minigame and sidequest freak and this disc was the best one to do them all. Plus you still have the cooler airship (in my opinion), the Hilda Garde III.

i'm new at this so don't blme me. though the best disc in IX would have to be either 3 or 4. 3 cuz of Alexandia gets destroyed(so sad). 4 cuz the ending theme is one of my favs

No, that comes on Disc 2. By Disc 3, you are already well past all of the fighting underneath the castle battle stuff and if I remember right, Disc 3 begins with the return to Alexandria and controlling Vivi again.

Edit: But then again, you fight with her again together with Steiner. So you can fight using her on both Discs 2 and 3.

favorite disc is 4 as well, just can't beat the glory of the ending, meeting Garland, finding out the truth of everything that happened from disc 1-3, zidane sulks off creaming a catoblepas and a Shell Dragon (he would've at least without Garnet and Freya..), and the trip up to Kuja was appealling with Behemoths and Crystal bosses and all

Disc 3 is the one where you can use Beatrix in battle when Alexandria is under attack.

Yeah, I liked Disc 3 a lot.

The attack on the kindgom by Bahamut (first time summons were so much focused into the game) along with the summoning of Alexander was beautiful. In addition, the battling with Steiner and Beatrix was pretty heated and emotional.

I loved disc 3 the most. Oh the action! and Bahamut's also my fav summon which makes it even better! And Beatrix just kicks a$$!

But at any rate, I'm going to have to go with Disc 4, for the ending.

i prefer disks 1 and 2. coz every things new and all the entence stuff happens which leads gets more involved in the story as it continues. even the slitest thing can be important.

I vote for the disc 3 and 4. And If you want the Save The Queen you just have to find Hades and to have the Hammer and another thing that I don't remember(to synthesise). You will lose the hammer if you decide to have the Save The Queen. So that means you can't get the two extra scene in one game.

I preferred Disc 3 the most, but It's closely followed by disc 2. I find that most of the action is on 3.
