Allstar, they could not even if they did have it. You only have one post. You need to have 5 or more posts to activate your pm function. After hitting 5, it can take a little while for the system to activate you. Also, when posting, keep in mind that consecutive posts in the same thread automatically get merged and will only count as one post. If I am reading the situation right (and I'm usually not..), no one has this yet. But, it should not be too much longer, I think.

Joint stereo is mainly used as a mean to save storage space, in fact, and it goes without saying that saving space is strongly related to lossy-encoding ;)
It merges the 2 channels into a single, homogeneous, data stream..... EDIT: And while you are right in implying that using joint stereo basically destroys the original channel separation, since the data cannot be reconstructed, one would argue that such matter has hardly any importance... We are talking of lossy-encoded files, here... A 'huge' amount of data is going to be destroyed regardless.
Anyway, as I've already showed you in the Uncharted 3's Soundtrack request thread, modern encoders - even when you go and tell them to use joint stereo (at least, with the "standard" settings) - will switch back to normal stereo if they determine the data stream is enough complex, and thus needs more bits to be preserved.

Your "issue/matter/concern" with joint stereo has no reason to exist, now. It would have hold a bit of "truth" to it if old encoders were taken into consideration. Nowadays, it's just a wrong myth which needs to die, as well as the 320kbps CBR preset.

His argument in this thread is pointless though, as the encode was in stereo, not joint stereo. And there were no Flac files, it was from an actual CD.

Try searching for the Kick-Ass score as a lossless download. The only place I know you can get the FLAC version to buy is region locked so I can't buy it. Can't find the CD anywhere. This is almost as bad from a download point of view but at least you can buy the CD's.
