Judging by the way you said that I'm guessing I'm probably one of the few who liked the movie eh? ;D

Greetings.

The movie "Spirits within" was alright I guess. It reminded me a lot of Aliens. Marines (or whatever soldiers they were.) shooting at what turned out to be aliens (Ok, alien ghosts.). Or, that the music composer for the soundtrack, Elliot Goldenthal, also composed the music for Aliens.

The movie could've been better... A LOT better, yes?

No, no, no. It could have been different. It could have been set in a fantasy world with summoners, knights, a charismatic madman trying to destroy the world, and moogles, chocobos, an airship chase scene and after the happy end, the good old FF theme playing...
FF fans would have liked that one better, no matter what they think about TSW... 'nuff said.

Their is a FF7 movie called FF7: Advent Children , it takes place two years after the game, its in CG. Go to Final Fantasy 7 discusion forum, scroll down to one of the three FF7 movie posts to get a trailer for it.

TSW sucked. I mean... Alien Ghosts. I think that says it all.

I should hope there will not be a sequel.

Everybody knows ^_^

Anyway... TSW sucked... Royally... It had nothing to do with FF in ANY way... But that's what you get for letting Square U.S.A. do it... And not Squaresoft in good ol' Final Fantasy-origined Japan =)

I mean, seriously... Square U.S.A can't make anything on their own!!! Look at the obscene, self-contradictory, and absolutely stupid story line of Parasite Eve II! With it's little impression of Bill Clinton, and some top-secret government agency that all basic police offficers (yet not even the military) know about... And then the main character goes around saying "Oh, we're a top-secret government agency, we hunt monsters" to everyone she meets...

Anyway, you get the picture, the people at Square U.S.A have no artistic abilities, and they should leave it to the big boys back in Japan...

Um, I seriously doubt there would ever be a Sequel to the First FF Movie "FF:The Spirits Within" I mean the movie was Good IMO, but the movie itself wasn't that sucessful...lol

Greetings.

Alright, I agree with Misao and everyone else. Square USA could've done a better job. Scratch that, they could've left it alone and let Square Japan do it. Hmmm.... Still, a new FF animated movie, probably isn't that hard to imagine being made. Think about it. When Squaresoft and Disney teamed together to make Kingdom Hearts (Personally, I don't like this game. I don't like it a lot, and yes I played it, and I still don't like it.), I'm pretty sure, that fly by night, mickey mouse organisation, probably already has 'ideas' floating around in that castle of theirs to make a 'American Final Fantasy movie'. If that's the case, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest : THE MOVIE! LOL

Seriously, I hope and pray to all the deities in all the nine realms, that a sequel to Final Fantasy, the Spirits Within, is never, Ever, EEEEEEEEEEEVER made. If it was, I don't think I could take it.

Okay as a Final fantasy, it was pure and utter shite. But as a sci-fi film, it wasnt half bad, there were pretty awesome alien (ghosts) in it, technology was definitley more advanced than what it is today. It had elements of a good sci-fi film. But as a Final Fantasy *turns away in disgust*

it seems that not too many people would want square to make a sequel to tsw. it was the main reason that Hisashi Suzuki decided to drop his job at square(he didnt help much anyway tho) and also, with such a huge loss of cash, hu would wanna lose more? ur chances :lol as in no way laugh in ur face
