what did you do exactly - rip the six tracks available on the Bandcamp page? or is this taken from the game?

This won't be out until the 20th, the game is not even available yet at the XBOX Marketplace, where's this from?

The full album is on Spotify right now. Maybe it's from there?

Spotify streams in Ogg Vorbis so if it is, then it is safe to guess these files are lossy transcodes then.

or maybe Kir is actually Disasterpeace or something and is just providing a low quality leak to get people to preorder.

This is quite a mystery, the files are at 192 kbps and have the frequency cut where you would expect from a 192 MP3 encoded from the original source. It has all the tracks it should have, but the tags only have the basic information. We will have to wait until the release date so someone could compare these. Leak, sample or stream rip?

and not to insult the lossless crowd by posting it in their thread of choice, here's a V0 preset MP3 encode -

I was having this problem too; didn't want to sound too naggy after my part 3 issues.i am re-downloading the three parts just to make sure, will update this if i can confirm them to be corrupted.

doesn't seem to be corrupted after running test on the archive (while they are still in parts) -

provided you are both using 7-zip, and assuming you have the context menu option in Windows, find the .001 part and use this -

as long as the other remaining parts are in the same directory there should be no problem. if there is, you might want to redownload the part(s) you think are corrupted since if they are corrupted, it may be something on your end.

and if that fails - http://www.hjsplit.org/ (find download for OS you use), run and choose 'Join' then point to the .001 and then press 'Start' and it should join all parts together successfully (again, if they are all in the same directory)

i also ran a test on the archive after joining them through HJSplit and it finds no errors.

I use WinRAR, and that didn't work, so I tried using HJSplit to join them, and ended up only getting the first part of the archive. And after that, I tried extracting the first 12 files and ended up with some sort of error.

Well, anyway you go about it, ZIP files are atrocious as split archives, so you're better off going with RAR.

it must be some corruption between the download then, as they downloaded successfully off of MediaFire for me (and going by the read of the files, 100 or so others who have not mentioned issues). if it helps, the first two parts should be 200MB exactly, with the third being around ~60-67MBs. the end result should be 467MB, as shown in my screen from the archive test.

and i appreciate the words toward RAR archive format, but the only thing able to create them is WinRAR and i have no intention on trialing it, cracking it or paying the money asked for the program.

WinRAR will still work after the trial is up, for some reason. It'll just come up and say "YO DAWG TRIALS OVER", you click "close", but the program will remain open and usable.

nagware isn't my thing either. 7-zip works for my needs.

anyway having said that, i am uploading the lossless as a single .zip archive onto peejeshare. i'll update the post in the lossless thread with the URL once it finishes.

alternate URL for the single archive is in. follow the post i linked earlier for it or alternately just go comb through the lossless thread. and if you still have trouble with it, i've also added a SFV file (found in my most recent post to the lossless thread) to use for integrity checking AND if you still have trouble, then i hope a deity intervenes, because there is nothing i can do to fix this issue for you (reuploading in .rar format is something i am not going to do - i'm sorry if that pisses anyone off, but that's how it is).
