A while ago I found out about a complete score that has been circulating for some time. The problem with this one is that the tracks from "Wait For The Signal" to "Reunion" are all in mono. I was wondering, does anybody have this briefly-released CD in good quality?

This is the tracklist:

All That the Light Touches (3'03)
Plotting (4'02)
The Elephant Graveyard (4'55)
Kings of the Past (2'16)
Hyenas (2'29)
Wait for the Signal (0'59)
...To Die For (3'32)
Run Away (3'34)
A New Era (1'42)
Timon and Pumbaa (0'32)
Scar, We're Hungry (1'12)
Under the Stars (2'59)
Reunion (4'22)
Remember (7'53)
This is my Home (2'30)
The Return (6'52)
King of Pride Rock (4'58)

Thanks if you can upload it or point me in the right direction.

No Complete score for The Lion King exists. The most we have is Expanded

"Expanded" is sourced from this complete score. I might draw you to these, which are from a bootleg sourced from this one-day "release":

The Lion King Complete Score - 20 - The Return - Battle Of Pride Rock - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14ZTDpZ3yPw)
The Lion King Complete Score - 19 - This Is My Home - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs9OxekBNd0)
The Lion King Complete Score - 06 - The Elephant Graveyard - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXJaSLIbJds)

These prove that somebody out there must have this released.

If this one can't be fulfilled, it' be nice to eitehr be pointed in the right direction for recording sessions or the rumoured FYC promo.

Rumors, all rumors. I know a couple folks with some expansions, but I know NOBODY who has posted anything more. I say posted, not has....

Which is what I have said. Somebody on YouTube says that the score list I posted is accurate for the 'release' I mention. They also mention that the majority of edits are combining this material with other sources (mainly the official album release). Other edits still combine this with DVD rip material. Other sources I have managed to get hold of corroborate this "claim". There are likely people out there with the recording sessions also.

The point being here that people haven't posted this in good enough quality.

EDIT:

Well, audacity says Elephant Graveyard is stereo.

The only tracks that aren't in stereo that are on my list are thus (I'll bold the corresponding tracks in your tracklist below):

Wait for the Signal (0'59)
...To Die For (3'32)
Run Away (3'34)
A New Era (1'42)
Timon and Pumbaa (0'32)
Scar, We're Hungry (1'12)
Under the Stars (2'59) (the latter portion of this is clean and in stereo in the Region 2 Diamond Edition on one of the menus)
Reunion (4'22)

TRACK LIST:

1) CIRCLE OF LIFE 3:59
2) THIS LAND 3:08
3) MORNING REPORT 1:36
4) SIMBA AND SCAR / SIMBA AND NALA 4:01
5) I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO BE KING 2:50
6) ELEPHANT GRAVEYARD 4:51
7) FATHER AND SON 2:21
8) HYENAS 2:19
9) BE PREPARED 3:40
10) SETTING THE TRAP :54
11) STAMPEDE 3:28
12) WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? 2:36
13) KILL HIM :50
14) A NEW ERA / BOWLING FOR BUZZARDS 1:45
15) SIMBA AWAKENS (UNUSED) :33
16) HAKUNA MATATA 3:33
17) UNDER THE STARS 1:11
18) SIMBA IS ALIVE 1:41
19) HUNTING / REUNION 4:23
20) CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT 2:57
21) ARGUMENT / YOU'RE MUFASA'S BOY 4:47
22) HE LIVES IN YOU 3:05
23) SIMBA RETURNS / THIS IS MY HOME 2:32
24) A DIVERSION :24
25) THE BATTLE OF PRIDE ROCK / THE ASCENSION / END CREDITS (PT I) 11:44
26) CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT (END CREDITS PT II) 3:59

NOT 47 tracks, many of the alt and "film versions" were dvd rips. Many more after the end credits are just sorta remixes and such. I have only listened to Battle of Pride Rock through. It is fx free. That does not mean it is real, cause some people make good fakes these days, and I do not know the score elements to know for sure. it sounds about right though.

I can tell you straight up that there is too much interference from the front channels in the DVD for this to be a DVD rip. The rear channels sound far too bad quality for the music to be sourced from there (the only instrument that sounds okay from there is the flute for whatever reason, all others sound strangely tinny). I can also tell you that I matched it tone for tone against what I could hear in the film itself. Nobody could fake it THAT good unless they had VSTs that could mimic the instruments used that precisely, and if they could, why rely on DVD rips?

Removing the rips, and the various concert and remix versions, I am left with 26 traks, running at 79 minutes. And, 7 of the tracks are the actual VA songs. So, 19 tracks of score. IF real. Not complete by a long shot, either.

Matched against what is in the film, I'd say that this would be complete (Timon & Pumbaa/Simba Awakens and Scar, We're Hungry, which appears absent in yours, are both partially dialled out in the film). Again, this isn't counting for whatever Zimmer might have scored as alternates. There are rumours that an FYC promo exists with a few true alternatives rather than 'film' versions.

Mostly, it's just those tracks that are in mono I'm after in stereo.

I'd be happy to post the source of the score I'm talking about as it's no secret (in fact it's up on YouTube).

EDIT: Here's the version I'm talking about: http://www.mediafire.com/?j6q4f64scqu173c

A similar theme, yes. But that actual bit went unused in the film. I think they just kept the flute part in the film (it may be an insert or alternate part).

Everything between "Wait For The Signal" to "Reuinion" is, sadly, mono in this version. That's probably why some bootlegs opt for a DVD rip for those cues rather than use them - my own edit does too (excpet where I can create a convincing enough cover of it myself)

I wasn't aware of any concert suites for this film though.

The FYC Promo is no rumor, it exists. I was offered it a while back, (for purchase) but had no interest in it. I didn't know what FYC Promos were back then. Ohhhh....to be able to travel back in time...

That's a shame. Although it's 13 tracks long, I hear it has some interesting tracks that weren't in the final film. I have access to the (alleged) tracklist too:

01. Circle Of Life (4:21)
02. This Land (3:02)
03. Uncle Scar (3:57)
04. Hyenas (4:47)
05. Under The Stars (2:15)
06. ...To Die For (5:57)
07. Scar Takes Over (2:05)
08. Wax Philosophical (2:48)
09. Reunion (4:13)
10. Trouble In Paradise (4:45)
11. He Lives In You (3:05)
12. The King Has Returned (3:12)
13. King Of Pride Rock (11:53)

I have found this 2CD tracklist but can't say if this is real:

Half a year-bump, but for good reason. Inspired by a thread posted in the main Film/TV Soundtrack forum, I did a search on ASCAP for The Lion King. It didn't give me all the cue titles but it did come out with these:

DIAO 3282 ("NON-INTO COMBO:ANGELS/LION KING")

Cool. I am in the search for the sessions as well and this cue list may help out. Unfortunately, all the score collectors I know aren't interest in anything Disney-related, but you never know.

Do you know what "DIAO," "DIIL" and "BV" stand for?

DIAO and DIIL I have no idea, but BV is quite clearly "Backing Vocals". Those DIAO and DIIL pieces may be something to do with the songs. There were several versions of each (I remember Tim Rice stating there are actually 15 different versions of Can You Feel The Love Tonight)
