I would love love love to have and play this on my mobile.
But the file is .sis, is there any way to get this to work on the newer phones?

Knowing we're all FF-fans here I'm sure I'm not the only one who has the urge to play every single FF-game out there.
So it totally SUCKS that we're not able to do this. Are we? *.*

You might find that the disdain for FFVII spinoffs is pretty strong around here (with good reason), so I doubt that many people have the urge to play Before Crisis (especially since there wasn't a US release)

Anyways, I'm sure it's pretty lame since it's made for a phone and it's yet another FFVII game that shits on the original. Hey, I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Well, I collect the series. And no collection's complete without the spin-offs eh? ;)
And, imo, if you're gonna have the games you HAVE to play them. That's my objective anyways. So, I'm playing Crisis Core atm, which made me really want to play Before Crisis ):

I am with you on the disdain for spin off's because they are moneymakers etc etc.
But, as I mentioned, I collect the series. And see it as my duty to have and play every single one of'm. ..perhaps its an obsession [:0

I'm sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but as far as I'm aware, FFVII: Before Crisis is only compatible with a small number of Japanese-made mobile phones, which weren't (to my knowledge), available elsewhere. Hence why it has never been released outside Japan - the platform it was developed for isn't available anywhere else. The reason for this from what I understand is, amongst other things, the game includes a feature where certain game elements change according to the player's geographical location in Japan when playing the game, accessed via a GPS uplink through the phone (if I remember rightly, at least one boss fight changes location on the world map in relation to where the player currently is in the real world).

As a result, this would be very difficult to alter for an international release without major recoding of the game - not to mention virtually impossible to modify if the game was released for a non-handheld console.

Woah, that sounds like one awesome feature to a game! *-* @ the GPS-thingie.

I was kinda hoping there was like a converter or something..
It being japanese wouldn't be the worst thing.
Just really wanted to see what it looks like etc.

Tooo baaahhhdd ):

Heh, I noticed that too. Withope you've turned evillll. :p

Anyway, re-railling this thread, this is a long shot Phoe, but there might, might, be a chance an emulator has been written for that type of phone, which could work with Before Crisis.

But that's a long shot on my part - still, a good place to look would be Zophar's Domain (http://www.zophar.net/), as that site often has emulators for very obscure formats.

Thanks Enki! ^^

Unfortunately there are no emulators for the game that can run on Android.. Saaak ):

Did find a NES/Famicom emu for it though, might check that one out just for funzies!
