These are the complete motion picture scores by Nicholas Hooper dvd audio extracted from the 5th and 6th film now iam new at this so there are some sfx how ever the quality of each track is great to be honest Ive never found a better quality score for the the 5th flim so thats why I did and I never found one for the 6th film I plan on doing Goblet of Fire since there no good one I out there to download so look for that to And give me a break I mean iam new at this I could really care less if there are sfx it the quality of the music I care more about

It's Harry Potter and it's a DVD rip. You may be able to make your decision based on past events. Have you ever heard a decent Harry Potter DVD rip for any of the movies? I know I haven't--granted I haven't heard them all, though--and it's mostly due to pesky non-removable voice echoes. And unless www415 here has come up with a way to remove voice echoes or at least has made some kind of attempt at editing out SFX as opposed to throwing a couple of DVD-extracted tracks together into a stereo track and calling it a day, we cannot expect this to be much different than the previous DVD rips of these scores.

Exactly what i'm thinking. The only DECENT dvd rip i've ever heard was for Chamber of Secrets which was actually alright. However all the ones after that are crap, so we'll see. Im hopefully this guy used his resources wisely and actually used the music from the HBP site to help expand this SFX free

EDIT: Yeah, I downloaded Half-Blood Prince and...:

A.)First off right from the get go with "Opening" I noticed that this is NOT a complete score, as "Opening" is just the album version and is lacking the film version insert.
B.)The Extra Tracks from the DVD, the ones that are actually ripped yeah the volume level is terrible, and completely riddled with SFX, there was no attempt to even TRY to remove SFX, notably in "Weasley's Joke Shop"...which should just be called "Weasley's Wizard Wheezes" it sounded like he just used the Front Left and Right Channels, and the rear channels have WAAAY less SFX...Ugh I should really just try to finish my rip of this. And have it done properly.

Thanks for the upload however I downloaded the "Half-Blood Prince" one and it is filled with not JUST the SFX but also clear dialogues. Hoping against all odds that someone gets their hands on the actual complete score or sessions from Half-Blood Prince

Ugh I should really just try to finish my rip of this. And have it done properly.

Sorry www415, but we're not trying to make you feel like an idiot. It's just that some people (like me) have a hard time enjoying the music when they're are explosions and screams and all these other things that are interrupting in.

No. Impossible. This is as good as it gets until the recording sessions get out. Either that or maybe a version in another language has less voice echoes, but even then it'll still be covered in sound effects.

I think manowweik1995's edit of HP 5 and 6 are better than this!
